@Site_Users,

It appears there seems to be a large misconception in regards to what's required to qualify for contributing to an event. I would like to take a moment to address this issue with how the system actually works.

Since the events currently in-game are all different, using a static number (for example, 5 battles) may not always work. If an event lasts 10 minutes, 5 battles might be hard to accomplish. If the event lasts an hour, 5 battles might be too small of a requirement.

Therefore, I created a simple equation that determines the requirement based on the top 5 contributors. Just because it's based on the top 5 contributors does not mean it is hard to achieve.

The enemy requirement is the average of the top 5 contributors, divided by 10, and rounded to the nearest number. The battle requirement is the enemy requirement divided by 2 and then truncated. So, here are a few examples:

Top 5 Contributors: Saerielle Event (51 minute duration)
1. Draco - 153
2. Pirate - 110
3. Redacted - 99
4. Mythic - 88
5. Frostfall - 72
Enemies Required: 10
Battles Required: 5

Top 5 Contributors: Saerielle Event (53 minute duration)
1. Cliest - 136
2. Draco - 123
3. Frostfall - 113
4. Ekoyim - 104
5. Pirate - 89
Enemies Required: 11
Battles Required: 5

Top 5 Contributors: Esior's Haven Event (21 minute duration)
1. Element - 92
2. Dawnshadow - 52
3. Veron - 46
4. Tenshi - 40
5. Eldestgruff - 35
Enemies Required: 5
Battles Required: 2

Top 5 Contributors: Esior's Haven Event (14 minute duration)
1. Element - 93
2. Draco - 81
3. Figment - 61
4. Ekoyim - 57
5. Dimitri - 50
Enemies Required: 7
Battles Required: 3

Maximum Average Time per Enemy: 4 minutes, 12 seconds
Maximum Average Time per Battle: 9 minutes, 16 seconds

So, as you can see above, the average rate at which you must defeat enemies to qualify for a reward is 4 minutes and 12 seconds per enemy. The average rate at which you must win battles to qualify for a reward is 9 minutes and 16 seconds per battle. I can't imagine any player taking anywhere near this much time to defeat enemies or win battles.

We do not feel this requirement is excessive in anyway.

If you are taking an excessive time defeating enemies during events, then it probably means that you are using very high level pets in very low level gear. Since Umbra Forest is now explorable, you should be able to obtain gear on par with your pet's levels. If you are unable to and find it difficult to participate in events, then try using lower level pets with gear more on par with their level.

If I were to adjust event difficulty to make it easy for Level 50 pets in Level 25 gear to defeat Level 50 enemies, then actual Level 50 pets in actual Level 50 gear would just simply defeat any enemy in 1 hit. The game is not designed for Level 50 pets to do well with Level 25 gear against Level 50 enemies.

If you have any questions or comments about this system, please let us know. But we feel this is a very fair system and is not excessive in any way.

Awesome! This means that something beyond level 25 is out there. I was beginning to get concerned, because I've been working on the new content for a while, and all I've gotten was level 20 and lower in the new area.

The first zone of Umbra Forest is 20-25. The other zones are 25+.

I'm working on the second zone (Umbra forest). (LOVE the bears!) Just out of curiosity, I've watched this morning at the item drops:

2 level 20 items
4 level 25 items

And the first quest reward from the newly opened area is a level 20 relic. Is my luck really this bad? =(

I am just finding that my 25+ pets in gear for 25 are getting killed so easily it isn't even funny. I have exhausted all healing items and revival items and do not have the money to buy more to replace them

is this normal? Should I be defeated so easily in the right gear?

@Sauda,

What zone are you in? Faerina's Shrine?

Yes, no matter how much I try I am close to death after each battle, and have made sure to equip accordingly to level
and with the zombies now I can't

I figured maybe level up a bit, but all the levels I passed only give me 1 exp so not worth my time

ETA: I had some issues with the first few weeks after I joined in not being able to see my pets or avatar, so that set me back

@Sauda,

I sent you some gear that I had in my inventory that I wasn't using. Hopefully that will help you out some.

Make sure you buy lots of High HP Elixir and Draught?
Faerina's Shrine is quite something, even with my "good"

I actually have a recommendation for that. It may be the gear, while the right level, is not very powerful. There is a BUNCH of gear that is ridiculously cheap on the trade market (most are under 1K, even for the level 25 rare items). Also, you may want to think about re-stating or re-proficiencing your pets. It's actually very cheap to do so. Restating is under 1K, and re-reproficiencying is 100 gold per level of the pet.

If you need a little extra gold, just let me know ;D
