So I bought a lesser genetic mutator, and used it on a tamed pet as it instructed. Nothing happened? It still says there is nothing on any of the slots? Is there just a chance nothing will happen or does it take time to show up? Or is it just not showing up for me yet?
(In the description it says, "Use this on a pet via its Profile Page to add 1 random Gene or Mutation to a Slot where nothing is carried or visible. The result can either be Carried or Visible. This item can only be used on Tamed Pets...A Pet can only be affected by a Genetic Mutator once.")

[side note I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've personally used this, though I've used a lesser pet dye]

As the LGM's description says, the gene or mutation added can either be carried or visible. Your pet isn't tested, which means any carried traits aren't shown - there are many free testing services you can look to to get your pet tested! It seems that you have just gotten a carried trait with the mutator.

Alternatively, I also happen to have a testing kit so I could test for you if you would prefer that.

oh thank you so much, also would you mind testing it? If you're alright with that anyway. How much would it cost if you'd be willing to?

It is a free service, so it will cost you a grand total of nothing ^-^
Just set up the pet for me for 1g, I'll buy it and test it, then set it up for you, and you can buy it back. Make sure you set it up for me only using my user ID so we don't accidentally have a case where some opportunistic other person snaps it up.

Aaaand it's done! She's all set for you. Turns out she already had 2 other carried traits before you mutated her ^_^
