Hello, again. =P Unfortunately, I am going to have to take the site offline for an hour or so in a short bit to allow our host to investigate some issues going on with our database's performance. It doesn't seem to be configured in the same way it was on our old server and it is causing queries to take a substantially longer time to process than they should - in some cases, literally 30 times slower.
I do believe this is purely a configuration issue. It's just a matter of figuring out what specifically is configured differently and then changing it.
Since this will require work directly with database settings, it will require rebooting the database constantly. Therefore, I cannot have the site be live with that happening or we risk data issues and disruptions. So I unfortunately have to take things offline while this is worked on.
Our new host fortunately provides live support though rather than ticket based, so work will begin basically immediately once downtime begins until the issue is resolved.
Please check our Twitter or the site's maintenance message for updates if there are any during the downtime.
I apologize for any inconvenience. Hopefully, this won't take too long.

Hey, you do as you must I understand downtime and with something as big as switching servers or whatnot? Can only imagine the headache nerdwork you gotta do so go on do your thing maitenance is better then buggy site that may mess things up I'll be around when it's back up :) Seems you improved the site good work so far too
