Where do you get Ancient Tomes of Knowledge? I read somewhere (which I cannot find anymore) that they drop from the Named in the caves, but I've been beating up Demora and Kowlla (Unstaeble's guide to Dia's fight scares me :'D ) for quite a bit now but they haven't been dropping any of the tomes so I just wanna confirm or get corrected on that lol
Aside from that, where would one get Glowing Crystals? Really wanna make that third portal. I also see that I have a Singing Shard and Sticky Sap in my materials but I have no idea where I got them from, what are those used for?

Ancient tomes do indeed drop from the cave's three bosses, but you must remember that they're legendary rarity drops. Absolute hell. (Especially if you want to unlock all the stoneweaves, at which point you need 18 of the dang things)

Did some quick searching and glowing crystals drom from nightfall battlemages, apparently

if I remember right sticky sap is from plant-type enemies (lil plant imp fellers whose name i'm forgetting right now, ents, and Oakstout) and I think singing shards might be rock-type enemies (earthen constructs, golems, demora)?

Can concur that grinding for the tomes in an absolute pain. They're incredibly rare, as are the gems for the upgrades for those pieces. You might be able to find someone that has Stoneweave but even then the gems to upgrade them are equally as awful when it comes to drops. If you're looking to do gear upgrades, maxing out Vinethorn at +5 would be fairly comparable to Stoneweave +3 and it's probably at least 10 times easier. The crit/accuracy/avoidance % will be marginally smaller. Not a big loss in my opinion for something that you'd be replacing anyway.
