I just saw the results of the Lost Pets forum game (congrats to the winners, by the way!), and while I didn't win, I was glad to see that everyone who put in a valid entry received a participation prize at least.

I did submit an entry, but I don't see that I received these prizes anywhere...Either I am looking in the wrong places, or the staff thought my entry was invalid for some reason?

If it was invalid though, I really don't understand how. Before generating and posting my designs for the three pets, I carefully read the rules and checked to make sure my entry matched what was written on the scrolls. I made my designs with the genders and species listed. I used only the genes mentioned, and the "known color" for each pet does appear visibly somewhere on its body.

Now I am just perplexed and wanting to know, how were these designs invalid? I read the rules again and still don't know where I could have gone wrong with this. Apparently there were other players whose entries were deemed invalid, too. If this happened due to the same basic misunderstanding, perhaps next time a game like this is posted, something in the rules should be explained better.

Prizes aren't always sent out immediately. It's more likely there's just a delay in prizes being sent out.
