Yeah, so how do you add more genes to a pet? Specifically looking to add a first and third gene to this guy, maybe another mutation.

Since that pet is an offspring, you cannot
The only alteration you can make to the traits of an offspring is via use of an RTD, a restricted trait disruptor, which takes the two tp that make up one of their current vis traits, clearing that trait slot entirely, before giving them a random vis from that RTD's set in return
You can use Mutators on Tamed pets (and Tamed pets alone).
Lesser mutators adding a random trait to a random slot, and what it gives not necessarily being a vis, but possibly a carry instead
Greater mutators letting you add a vis trait of your choice
and lucky and lovely mutators which have much smaller more specific lists of what they can add
Additionally you can only ever use one single Mutator on a pet, max.
If you wanted a pet that looks like the one you have but also with g1 and g3, you'd have to make a breeding project to achieve that goal
(alternately, since it's a vene, there are still be some Regennable venes with 10-12 tp floating around, although I expect any left for sale would have a pretty high price tag at this point)

Thank you! I sort of thought that.
