hello, how do you get AP (whatever that stands for) and tokens?? (for the avatar shop)

AP stands for Advancement Points. You get them for. doing things on the site- progressing plot, breeding pets, nurturing, battling, missions, etc.
Currently they're only used for three things, buying base styles (eyes, hair, noses, etc) in the wardrobe, unlocking more save slots for designs in the generator, and unlocking more party preset save slots.

Peerless avatar tokens are primarily prizes for placing 1st/2nd/3rd in Forum contests (eg, the 'create a sylestia valentine' contest that just ended and contest of similar ilk), sometimes for completing certain tasks from the task list during the seasonal festivals, that kind of thing.
They can sometimes be found on the trade broker, typically going for somewhere between 500k and 1m gold

maintainance is one hour once a week a few hours after rollover on monday site-time
