Lately I've been trying to finish the second task for section 2 in the Lost Grove, which requires building a barracks building. I have all the materials I need except for menders talismans, of which I only have 9/20. But recently, I've found it much harder to come across Nightfall Menders, and when I do, they more rarely drop a talisman. Are there any methods I can try (lately I've mainly just been running around in circles for hours on end and hoping I run into menders)? Thanks :)

I was in your boat not too long ago as well. Sadly there's not much you can do, I think it took me a few months to actually get all the menders talismans, but I was also only playing like once a day. Luckily for you though Krin just added a new feature in the Grove where you can trade excess items for Grove Tokens, and you can use those Grove Tokens on items you need. If you already have more than 200 spritely branches, which I assume you do since they're so easy to attain, you can sell your excess ones and use them to buy the rest of the talismans.

I did try that, but I think you can't trade for them, for some reason. When I clicked on the talismans, it showed the same screen and everything, but on the left, the column where you would buy the object said you can't buy them, so you can only sell but not buy. I'm not sure why, though. I definitely have enough tokens to buy quite a few.

edit: in fact, it looks like there's only talismans and at most a few other items that are "not eligible for trading" but can be sold.

Some are just not buyable. It's not a problem with your device, Krin just set it up that way.

You'll just have to grind..^^;
