A couple of questions, numbered for easier reference.
1)Why do I have so few AP? Is my number normal for my level?
2)Are eggs at all time sensitive and do I have to take care of them.
3)Why do some eggs in the scale shop cost much more than others? Do the different colors have different properties.
4)Other than the forums is there a comprehensive guide that already answers these questions?
5)Is anyone going to want to trade for festival eggs or are they already too plentiful?
6)what's the benefit of skipping your turn?
7)...

1)Since AP is a currency, there's no way for anyone else to see how much you have other than yourself, but odds are the amount you have is normal.
2)When an egg is ready to hatch at 72 maturity hours, you have 24 hours to hatch it manually (giving it either a health boost or a boost to a random stat), otherwise it hatches on its own normally.
3)The price of a scale shop egg is directly a reflection of the amount of trait points it has. A 480 scale egg will likely have only a single carried trait, while an egg that costs 2435 scales will be 3vis, the colors are complete rng!
4)I don't believe there's anywhere other than the forums, but if you're looking for a specific article to see if your question has been already answered, googling "sylestia forum [question]" may help!
5)People frequently purchase deco eggs on the broker, the current lowest price is 350 per egg, if you've already added the eggs to your funds, you can always ask around and see if you can buy stuff for people!
6) Skipping your turn while battling is helpful for when you're trying to tame wild sylesties, especially when you're higher level and blow through them pretty quickly, otherwise I don't think it really helps out?
I hope this helps!! :D

Another thing about AP is that you gain it from spiking things in the game such as battling. Based on your level your AP is probably accurate. Once you start doing a lot of battling itll go up pretty quickly
A good place to look for answers are the pinned forums on the Q and A page such as unofficial brief newbie guide or the player guide page

Cool, I'll check it out.
I'm guessing that "Spiking" is the same as leveling up to the next level. It just seemed to be developing very slowly when you consider that you need 5,000 for a new outfit and I've got around 900 after playing all day for a couple of days.
Thanks for the help!

Well, that's kind of because the AP outfits that you're talking about are a bit outdated. When those outfits were first made, there were very few other options available on the site if you wanted to change your avatar. At the time they weren't meant to be something for new players specifically. They were meant to be for players who'd played for a while and wanted to show it off.
It obviously didn't stay that way for very long and the site started releasing more fest outfits you could win from the site and buy with gold from other players. These ended up being much more popular with players than the AP outfits so the site started releasing more and more and the AP outfits were kind of forgotten about by both players and the site. So the outfits are still there but they were never intended to be used the way you're inferring. It's a lot easier to just get outfits from other players than to grind for the AP outfits so that's what almost everybody uses.

"Spiking" as in "increasing faster/ be gained with greater speed"- AP, as I mentioned a few threads back, is a currency, and currency can't "level up"
Most people don't really buy the AP Base clothing, I don't think (facial expressions and hair, yes, but not so much the clothing)? The vast majority of players use Outfit items, which are not obtained via AP, but rather via battling, buying from the broker, from the diamond shop, from the festival shop, etc.
