So I joined yesterday and I got super excited about making my first Sylesti that has any value (sculpting in the event) and when I finally got the right sculpting agent, It only goes up by two percent. I managed to get another and it won't even let me add it. I don't think there's any way I can create this new sylesti before the event finishes, which is kind of disappointing. I heard people can help you speed up the process by contributing- can someone help me maybe?

Also, in the exploring area, I've found two enemies (bosses?) surrounded by chests/pillars who I simply cannot defeat whenever I try. I can only have two Sylesti on my team currently. How do I defeat them?

Is the event worth participating in if I'm new? Rare items and profit are my main draw to petsites.

I come from Flight Rising (another pet site) if that helps somehow.

Sculpts will only want a new additive about every 1h5m, unless they've had a Quick Dry Agent applied to them (which is basically a permanent buff on the sculpt that makes it instantaneous, so you can just Zoom the sculpt to completion.)
Yes, other people can add to them, too, so if you don't have the supplies when it does tick over to wanting something, other people in region or general chat are typically happy to oblige and help if they have the enrichment the sculpt wants on hand.
I'm not 100% sure if keeping the Quality of a sculpt up makes each additive do a little more in the growth speed for summer fest, it does in some fests.

You should be perfectly safe to finish any sculpts started now- the sand sculpting doesn't close until the 21st, in two weeks (if you keep on top of a sculpts needs, then you can finish them in like, 2-3 days)


With your current two pet team, the fest zone bosses will probably be a bit much (I see your current team is Earth/Air, with only one lv5 piece of equipment between them- Earth can be a bit tricky to run at the lower levels, since early on it can inflict Taunt reliably but doesn't have strong/reliable healing (leeching vines starts with only a 25% chance of being inflicted), and has to wait until lv30 to get the ability to properly defend itself (thorncoat)- a light pet doing team healing makes life a lot easier!)

I can't help properly with gearing your pets, unfortunately (I only have a reasonable source of good lv25 gear that we can give to newbies, from running lv25 esior's haven missions) but I grabbed some stuff from the trade broker for you and sent it over (optimally, Assassin > Earth pet, Myrmidon > Air pet, Disciple = placeholder)

You could try speedrunning through the plotline until you get access to Umbra Forest, since once you get there you have access to Sanctuary of Saerielle, where you can buy/unlock the final party slot (people have done it before and will do it again)


Participating in the event is absolutely worthwhile- though you can't access all the chests in the zone because of bosses, you can access most of them, and the supplies you get can be useful (gold is gold, obviously, and fest chests can drop up to a few thousand per if you're lucky, but also fest supplies, which if you can't use them or have no use for them, you can sell them on the broker, or potentially trade for other fest stuff)
You can also potentially find Themed pets, which you can also either keep or try to sell (value of any given theme varies, of course)

To build off what Scath said, the Quality of your sculpt doesn't affect the sculpting speed, but it does affect the Bonus on the sculpt. The Bonus percent will go up when you apply an additive. If you complete the first Bonus then the pet will have a stat boost, the second Bonus will give it an additional carried trait. The Quality of the sculpt will cause the Bonus percentage to go up faster if the Quality is high (i.e. a Perfect Quality will give the highest additional bonus percent when you apply an additive). Quality goes up for each consecutive hour that you've applied an additive and goes down for each hour without an additive applied. Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I've explained it well ^^;
