Hello, all! We finally have an exciting preview to share with everyone for the upcoming, and final, content release for the Lost Grove. It has been quite a journey over the past handful of years since the Lost Grove first released. I definitely can say that I am excited that its development is finally coming to an end. =P
The Lost Grove has served as a fantastic prototype for us to showcase and test many new features and mechanics, but the time for Sylestia to move on is long overdue! With the final update to the Lost Grove, we can finally move forward with the more important global projects that have been pending.
I do not have an exact launch date for the Ancient Crypt just yet, but it most likely will be within 5-10 days. Once a date is known, we will make an announcement with at least a couple days of warning. With that said, though, we wanted to showcase some of the exciting new things that the Ancient Crypt will be bringing!
Lost Grove Ancient Temple - Ancient Crypt Release Date:
Saturday, October 22nd, at 12:00 PM
First, and probably most exciting, will be the addition of 6 new special Themed Pets and a complimentary
Restricted Trait Set with
Dynamic Traits.
What is a Dynamic Trait? Glad you asked! It is a brand new mechanic where the Trait will alter its appearance based on the Element
(Air, Fire, Earth, Water, Light, Shadow) that the Pet is attuned to. If a Pet becomes attuned to a different Element, the Traits will alter their appearance to reflect the change.
New Themed Pets and Restricted Trait Set
Below are the 6 new Themed Pets utilizing the new Trait Sets. Each Themed Pet is showcasing a different Element. These Themed Pets can be obtained by defeating the final Boss of the Ancient Crypt.

A New Challenger Approaches
Guarding these precious Ferrikki will be the most powerful, challenging, and vile entity that players have yet encountered. We can only offer a brief sneak peak through the veil at this time! We wish everyone the best of luck! =)
Massive Dungeon to Explore
The Ancient Crypt Dungeons will be massive! They will be stocked with all sorts of goodies for players to uncover and claim. This will include many Named, tons of Treasure Nodes, and a lot of Room Events!
This is an example. Every Dungeon Instance will have a unique layout.
Scaling Difficulty Adjustments
The Ancient Crypt will be very challenging at first. It has been built with the intention of being the most challenging content Sylestia has released to date. That said, there will be ways to slowly - and permanently - increase your Party's battling power as you defeat Named within the Ancient Crypt. This enhancement carries over from one Instance to the next. Once you manage to defeat the final Boss, this enhancement will be
permanently granted to your Party at max strength, making future clears even easier.
We also plan on carrying over this mechanic to the previous Dungeons in order to help players progress through the Ancient Temple. I do not have an ETA for this, but it will probably release with the Ancient Crypt, or very soon after.
With that all said, we hope everyone is as excited as we are for the release of the Ancient Crypt. We will be following up shortly with a date and time for its official launch. In other news, the Faelora Revamp continues chugging along and we are working on the preparations for this year's Fall Festival. Be sure to keep an eye out for announcements on those as they come!
