So, just looked at that pinned thread from 2015 that stated we'd be getting constant updates on the new site and features, with screenshots and such. What happened to that? Can I just not find it or have the devs put a hold on it for now? It's been 7 years since that announcement.

I love Sylestia but the site layout and some of the features are very outdated and off-putting. I'd love to see that revamp we were promised :(

Krin usually let's us know when we get updates. Currently they are working on giving the Fea an update on line work and adding traits to them. It's a slow process. The artists put a lot of effort into their updates and that takes time. Krin also has to code it all too. The latest available update was the new section of the Lost Grove and the new Dynamic Traits on the Ferrikki. (Both released this week!)

I'm referring to the one where they say that they had to recode the entire site. I appreciate the new updates for this version, don't get me wrong. But I was just curious if we have any updates on the entire site revamp from this thread.

There have been other posts, but not specific threads which can make it hard to find the information. From what I know, the latest plan (it has changed a few times) was to finish LG and then switch focus on updating the different areas of the site. Nurturing grounds has had an update and Krin has mentioned that they are working on the breeding grounds. Hopefully now that LG is done we will get more updates on plans for the rest of the site.

From a later thread (if I remember right, I cannot be bothered in the moment to see if I can find it since I cannot remember when it was) Krin has swapped tactics, preferring to get each individual part of the site to a newer version, and to then, eventually, when everything does have its updated version, see about getting to the 'leaving beta' point of the plan. That is, doing it in smaller chunks, so that he can get things to a setup he's happy with (and that the players are happy with) one piece at a time, refining and playing with things as he goes.
This way he can be sure he has all the stuff actually working.

At last mention, I believe he was working primarily on doing the Breeding Grounds? (aside from the LG Temple and the preparation for the Fae revamp)

An example of the updating he's doing is the Nurture Grounds/Nurturing, which was one of the previous updates (now allowing for things like "searching/nurturing for individual players", "moving smoothly from one nurture into the next", overhauling the exact mechanics of how nurtures affect egglings/hatchlings, etc.)

Also before the nurturing grounds he updated the wardrobe. All those lovely sorting buttons are because of the update. There's also a Faelora revamp scheduled for November. Things are getting done but Krin is only one person so things can only be finished so quickly.
