Hello!
I need help with figuring out what to do with my [Trait Extractor (Restricted Wild)]
I understand that you can extract Restricted Wild traits from pets and that you can only apply them to tamed pets, although I don't have any tamed pets that look good that I could possibly be able to apply the extracted trait on.
I'm mostly wanting Ryori Arcanist's Wings but in the AS there are no ryoris that are pretty and cheap with more than one gene on them.
I typically like having at least two genes or one full-body gene on my pets because it usually looks better that way.
I can't seem to find anything to use my trait extractor on so I'd appreciate any help I can get.
I also need help figuring out where there's highly active chatrooms. General chat barely has any people and there's no other "seasonal festival" chat so I'm not sure where to talk and get help. That's where I got most of my help.
Thank you! <3

I think there might have been a misunderstanding somewhere along the line. To use the extractor, you can only use it to extract a visible LG restricted trait from a tamed LG pet that has never been bred. The resulting trait scroll can be applied to tamed, exclusive, or offspring pets in the same way that restricted trait disruptors can (uses up a random, non-restricted, visible trait on the receiving pet), or it can be used to generate a pet that is being created with a mystical or divine essence.
So, to get the Arcanist's Wings for a ryori, you would need to get a tamed, unbred, ryori from the lost grove that had those wings visible, extract the wings with your extractor, then use the resulting trait scroll for the wings on the target ryori that has at least one non-restricted visible trait on it that would be exchanged for the wings.
As for active chat... between fests there really isn't one. You can access region chat (same as the fest chat) once you get to the third exploration area, Astryl's Vale (also where the lost grove is), but even that chat tends to be very slow and empty between festivals. Really, the best place to ask questions between fests is right here in the Q&A forum ^.^
Hope that helped out! If more clarification, or better examples are needed, let me know and I'll be happy to try to provide them ^.^

we have a breakdown of the rules of the Extractors and Scrolls here, which might also help?
Key point being, it needs to specifically be an unbred Tamed pet that the trait is Extracted from, which means that it would have to be a Ryori obtained from a Temple nest (50/50 on which res trait it'd get) or very lucky theme encounter roll for a Primordial Essence or wild Blazing Fireworks ryo from the Patriotic event. There uh. Aren't many of any of those.
Currently there are only two ryori in existence that fulfill all three of the 'tamed', 'visible res' and 'unbred' criteria, unfortunately

I apologize I've gotten very confused but it does not specify anywhere that it has to be LG related. I'll list the description below but I'm not sure that'll help.
Here's what the entire description says:
When used, you will receive a Restricted Trait Scroll of the Extracted Traits to existing Pets under certain conditions or to new Pets created in the Generator.
WARNING: This will remove the visible and/or hidden carried trait in the trait slot that it is used on.
Trait extractors can only be used on tamed pets
This trait extractor can only extract valid restricted wild traits
The restricted wild trait must be visible in the trait slot
Cannot be used on pets that have offspring
This item is consumed when used
-
Now earlier I was very confused and thought I could extract the trait from any pet and would have to put it on a tamed pet. Now I understand I need a tamed pet to extract it from and can put it on any pet under certain conditions. At least... I believe that's what it means.
Though, I still would really like to have Arcanist's wings, they are gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'm able to get them, though...

The only trait extractors that currently exist are the [Restricted Wild] ones- Restricted Wild traits being the term referring to the Lost Grove Restricted traits
I suspect part of the issue may be the "Trait extractors can only be used on tamed pets" line?
The Extractor item is used on a Tamed pet to take its Restricted Wild trait and create a Trait Scroll of that trait
Meanwhile, the Trait Scroll item is used to put that trait on a different pet
(Trait scroll desc.:
"Trait scroll ([species] - [trait set] - [trait slot] - [trait letter])
A Restricted Trait Scroll for the [x] species that will add Visible [trait] to the [x] trait slot
Use this item from a valid pet's profile page to add this trait to its designated trait slot.
this trait scroll can only be used on an Exclusive, Bred, or Tamed pet of the appropriate species.
The pet cannot already have a carried or visible trait of the restricted trait set that is being added.
Any current traits, including hidden carried traits, in the designated trait slot will be removed.
If the designated trait slot does not currently have a visible trait, then the pet must have at least one visible non-restricted trait that will be removed insead.
this item is consumed when used.")

Ohh okay, well I'm not exactly sure what to do with it now since I'm very much unable to get my favorite restricted wild trait from a tamed unbred pet.
But thank you for the help!
