Help! I can't finish the battle in the tutorial!

Can you elaborate on which battle/which part of the tutorial you're on, or what your issue in the fight is?

Can you help? I don't get wha tthe items are in Jinxie's Jamboree I have gotten the ? animal and the grey potion but I don't know what they do.

jinxies jamboree is a slots machine. The icons are Diamond, Jinxie, NPC guy from early in the plot, Gold cup, Silver cup, and Bronze cup. The things have to line up from left to right, matching one of the prize payout listings (eg, you get 40 gold as a... 'prize' if you get silver cup/ silver cup/ jinxie face, but not if you get jinxie face/ silver cup/ silver cup)

I'm not sure what you mean by "? animal" and "grey potion" though? By "grey potion" do you mean the silver cup?

There's also the Staves, which uh. I dunno, maybe give an item when you get all three to light up?
I don't play Jamboree ever so if I ever did know I have forgotten.

To add to Scath's information, when you line up all three staves, you get to play a special mini game where you click tiles until you get three of Talon's (the black haired NPC's) face. During this mini game (and the two with jinxie's faces, I think?) you can receive gold and item prizes. I assume that is what happened for you to get the '? animal' (random essence) and 'grey potion' (I believe this is a lesser genetic mutator, if I remember right? It's been a while since I played too lol). Both of these items should be in your inventory.

An essence can be loaded into the generator to generate a pet of the species shown, and a lesser mutator can be used on a tamed pet (only one per pet) from their pet page and will give either a random visible trait, or a random carried traits (carried traits can only be seen if the pet has been genetically tested).

Unlock the second party slot at Esior's Haven Plaza. Region 1 is designed with the expectation that you'll have a team of two going into its fights. Also making sure that your gear is the right sort for the pets used, and of decent level and rarity and that proficiency points are set

(region 2 is likewise designed with the expectation of three party pets, with the third slot being unlocked in the sanctruary of saerielle plaza once you get there)
