Introduction and Explanation

Hello! We are Astral Roses! We are an art team comprised of three separate artists; Myself; my IRL partner TwinFish; and my long-distance platonic life partner, ExplosiveRoses!

We three are each:

I am Astral (they/them/it/its) and I have been drawing for almost 30 years. I am mixed race, non-binary, and strive to keep my artistic environments inclusive of the marginalized and exclusive from hate.

ExplosiveRoses (she/her) aka Rei is my platonic life partner of 16 years, former art mentor, and she and I have worked closely together on art and writing since 2007. We make all of our best work together as collaborations!

TwinFish (he/they) is my IRL partner of 12 years, apprentice, legal & medical power of attorney, and front desk. They are who all orders will be going through. They also lay flats for Rei and I, ensure quality control, and fill in where needed. ALL ART-RELATED DMs GO TO THEM.

So what does this mean for you guys?

------------------------------

We often all three work on any given piece of art together, but this is not a rule or guarantee. You may not opt out of it, for medical reasons.

Rei and I both live with a lot of irreversible chronic pain and life-threatening conditions that flare up at a moment's notice. (She literally went to the ER as I was writing this, I am not even joking. She got out of the hospital 2 days after I made this post.) This has created a need in our two decades of working together to be able to pass the same art back and forth between us to see it to its completion.

It is very rarely, if ever, that you do not find both of our fingerprints on any piece of artwork you may see either of us publish. It is not unusual for us to go in behind each other and make changes to lines, colors, shading, etc, on each other's artworks. This is our strength, not our weakness! We have always been and always will be better together, and the products speak for themselves, I think!

TwinFish's primary function is our front desk, but they also lay flats and quality check. ALL of your orders will go through THEM.

There may be times that we three are offering SPECIFIC slots being sold WITH the option of two or three of us all working on it together to achieve a particular desired look. (See our collaboration post!) This will be communicated clearly. The most common way this happens is that we offer a slot that is my line-work with TwinFish laying flats and Rei's rendering. These are at a Premium.

This is how we operate, and if that isn't cool with you then this is probably not the shop for you! We wish you well!
