Hi, I might not be completely grasping the battling logistics but Im really curious if I can quickly level up my pets attacks, it seems like it really just takes a lot of time as all things do in Sylestia but is there a way?

Attacks do take a while to rank. Things to take note of:

- You only get attack rank exp while in the Lost Grove (or the Maws of Madness, which is only available during fall fest)

- attacks get rank exp for two things: being used in a battle (exp to specific move for every use of that move) and for winning a battle (exp to all attacks regardless of use in fight)

- attacks rank at different rates depending on which move it is and what rank it is (takes more exp at each incremental rank. Moves that have longer cooldowns have lower exp requirements to compensate for that cooldown)

- battle-win exp varies by enemy (base forest/cave enemies give less than elites, which give less than bosses. Temple enemies give more than forest/cave equivalents)

- Rank Exp gain is permanently increased if you have the Grand Protector's Insignia item in your inventory (obtained from Patriotic event at highest tier, item untradable, one per account)

- Philter of Expedient Learning increases rank exp growth as well as level exp growth (affects the party (general), not the specific pets in the party when you use the philter)

- Increased Exp bonus during Events does NOT affect rank exp

Also, as an additional note~ For every rank the amount of experience required doubles.
So going from rank 1 to rank 2 will take twice the amount of experience as it takes to get to rank 1.
Going from rank 2 to 3 will take twice the amount of experience as it takes to get to rank 2, etc.
It's a long process but well worth it in the end for fully ranked out abilities.
