I've gotten up to the Lost Grove in the story and I was wondering if there was a better way/place to level up my battle pets. The enemies in the grove kick my butt even with my best equipment and I know the area is supposed to be hard, but it's just so frustrating when my pets can only survive a feel battles before we have to retreat and heal.

So is there an easier way to level up 60+ pets or do you just have to slowly grind in the grove area? Any tips would be appreciated

If you have any Experience Orbs, you can use those to add some EXP to your pets. They can be purchased for gold from the Trade Broker.

More importantly, though, you can also buy better equipment from the broker. Vinethorn equips are great for starting out in the grove, but if you don't have the gold for those, Exotic equipment is cheaper but still good. I'm sending a few equips to get you started, if you want them. They should help you deal a little more damage and survive a little better.

Eventually when the Spring Festival starts, we'll have a special fest zone with enemies and stuff. I'm honestly not sure if it's any easier to fight there than in the grove, though. Unfortunately there's not much else in the way of high-level combat areas right now.

Thank you for the advice and equipment. I guess I'll just work on saving up for better equipment for the time being

Pets can also get exp from successfully completing esior and sanctuary of saerielle missions (if you aren't using the pet in your party)

making sure the pet's equips and proficiencies are all the right sort for their battle position for their optimal battle output

sticking to the top section of the LG (north side of the river- the top band of screens and where druiids are) only spawns single-enemy mobs, so you don't get overwhelmed as easily (and are close to the portal to be able to leave if needed)

The biggest reason to stick it out in LG is that it's the only place you can rank up your abilities. It makes a huge difference and takes significantly longer to rank than it does to level.

Spring fest will definitely help for leveling, but the bosses also get significantly harder at 75 in the fest zone since they are designed around high rank pets. And you won't get any exp towards ranking your abilities there.

You may also find that you'll want to switch around what elements your pets are. I know I ended up switching my tank and swapping my fire for a light. Don't be afraid to try out differently combos.

As Scath mentioned, stay near the top and be sure to leave so you can use non lg potions. I know I have a huge stockpile from mission sachels.

Consider the dungeons too, even just a couple runs will probably get you high enough you can survive the Grove without running to heal every few battles.
