As far as i am aware the exact odds are unknown but it is a very rare thing to get, from experiences those seem to be lower then getting the same item from nurrituring. ^-^ |

From my experience, i seem to get essences more from nurturing (although rare) than i do in battle.
I have found more essences in zone 1 and 2 than in LG though. Not too sure if the odds are higher there but worth a few run throughs to see what you get |
