Mine Entry
The cavern is dark, filled with the creaks and groans of overburdened wood. The only light guiding you is the light from the person ahead of you, the manager of the mine. He holds a tattered lantern in his hand as he guides you down the tunnel to the mine.
Finally, the small tunnel ends, opening up to a small room. There are various clutter-filled areas scattered across the cavern, each with a different person waiting for you. Behind the groups, there is a tunnel, blocked off by wooden bars.
You walk closer to the tunnel, finding a sign on it.

Registration Counter
You decide to glance at a small booth nearby you first. You find a bearded man hunched over stacks of paper and pen. You clear your throat, and he glances up at you.
"Well, hullo, there," he grunts, shoving a paper toward you, "Are you interested in registering yourself as a miner? It's not necessary to mine, but registering yourself in advance seems to increase the quality of your mining experience, and what you come home with."
You ask the beared man to see the registration form. There doesn't seem to be a fee attached to register.
He grunts, handing it over to you, "If you're interested in registering, you better do it soon. Registration will on Thursday, May 18, 11:59pm Sylestia Time."
You nod, glancing over the form.

You see a sign next to the registration desk and decide to check it out. You find a board posted where miner registration forms are listed. On the form, you also find the odds stacked for or against each miner. You take note of it, and move on.

Tool Shop
You walk to the next booth to find it much larger than the last. Tools litter the ground, spilling onto the floor. As you approach, a frizzy-haired girl pokes her head up at you.
"Hello! This is the tool shop, where you can purchase tools! Tools can be used to hunt for specific items," the girl explains, "They're only able to registered miners though, so in order to purchase tools, you'll have to register."
You nod, and ask the girl to show you what tools are avalible.

The girl pulls out her tools to show you what is available. "Unfortunately, I have limited stock in tools. I'll have to use first come first serve, and payment will be required."

A long stick with two sharp edges. This tool specializes in finding veins of items. (+40%) So, it increases the odds of finding a cluster of items, such as gold.

A small cylinder filled with fiery blasts. This increases the odds of you finding gold (+25%), and decreases the odds of the two miners beside you finding gold. (-50%)

A small tool with blade-like edges. This increases the odds of finding items such as armor, dyes, and other items one would commonly find in their inventory. (+45%)

A stick with light on it, to brighten your searching area. This ensures one will find something every round, and not miss anything. (+100%)

Gasmask: 23/25
10k
A mask to go over your face to protect you from toxic chemicals and increase your searching time. This decreases the risk of you coming across toxic chemicals. (which will automatically end your search) (-50%)

Research Table
You approach the next table to find a girl hunched over gemstones. You step closer, and she jerks up with a start.
"Oh. . . hi! Welcome to the research table! This is where the gemstones you find in the mine are cleaned and processed to give you your prizes! Since the mine is closed, so's the research table."
You nod and start to leave, but the girl interrupts you.
"Oh, wait! There's another function of this table, when the mine opens. If you decide you aren't happy with one of your finds, you can put it up for exchange, where you can trade with others for a different prize!"

Beside the research table, you find an exchange table. There isn't anything on the table at the moment, so you decide to move on.

Finding Records
You move onto the next table to find a man writing neatly on a sheet of paper. When you inquire as to what he's doing, the man smiles up at you.
"I'm the record keeper for this mine. I record what's been found in this mine. Would you like to see the past records?"
1: Unless stated otherwise, you can mine infinitely. However, note that the more you mine, the more your chances of finding toxic chemicals increase. If you stumble across toxic chemicals, you must end your mining venture and leave all previously earned prizes behind.
2: After each mine, I will confront you with a decision. I will tell you what prize you have found, and ask if you would like to return home or continue mining. As you continue mining, your prize quality will increase, but so will odds of finding toxic chemicals.
3: Gas masks significantly decrease the odds of toxic chemicals, but do not eliminate the possibility.
4: I will not send prizes over until you choose to complete your mining expenditure in case you stumble across toxic chemicals. However, I will be keeping a record of your prizes and will inform you of what you've already found each time so you have accurate information to make a well-informed decision.
5: If you look at the registration page, you will find the odds stacked for or against you. I advise you to use this information during mining.
6: Complaining in understandable, but will not be tolerated. I am using a complicated spreadsheet to make this all work, and you have the exact same starting odds as other players. For more about odds, see 5.
7: I know this is a lot, but to show that you read through this, please put the atomic number of gold in the 'Anything Else' section of your form.
