So, I keep seeing people putting images in threads, but I can only put in links. How do I put in actual images of my pets in a thread?

- When posting the image, you first of course need the pet's image address, I'll be using one of my pets as an example as to what the link should be similar to;
You can obtain the image address by either right-clicking/holding down on the pet's image and then choosing the option "Copy image address", or by opening the pet's image in a new tab and copying the image address from the address bar.
- When posting the image, you put it between a set of brackets that look like this(Without the periods included, I have to use those to keep the brackets visible when showing an example);
[img.][/img.]
There's a button that says IMG, next to a URL button, when making a post or sending messages, that button will make the bracket set for you. The buttons are above the text boxes in the forums/PMs.
- You post the image address between the bracket sets(Once again without the periods in the brackets), like this(I'll have the brackets in bold to better clarify);
An easy way to put the brackets around the image address is to paste the link into your post first, highlight it, and then press the IMG button. It'll put the brackets set around the image address for you.
- To adjust the image size, you add (&size=250) or whatever size you wish to make your image(Such as (&size=100)) at the end of the image address(And as mentioned before, without the periods in the brackets. The (&size=) will be in bold);
- If you follow the steps properly, you should be able to post an image like these:
Without the size adjusted, the image will appear like this;
With the size adjusted, the images will appear like this;

Your second attempt worked!
I think what wrong with your first attempt is that you possibly used the IMG= button, since when I opened the image, it took me to the pet's profile page.
That button creates an image link, which would look like this(Minus the periods in the example brackets to keep them visible):
To make an image link, you'd copy you pet's profile link, which would look something like:
https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=7317476
After pressing the IMG= button, in the box that pops up, you'd paste in your pet's profile link.
After that, Sylestia will create a bracket set for you that would look like this(Excluding the periods in the example):
[.img=https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=7317476.][/img.]
In between that bracket set, you'd post the pet's image address, which would look like this(Image address in bold for clarification):
