Was away for a bit (thank you Baldur's Gate 3 xD) and came back to see we are out of Beta! Yay! Congrats all :) I remember ages ago that someone said the Lost Grove was kind of only there to keep us busy until the site came out of beta. Is the Lost Grove staying? Are things going to be wiped so we have to do story things agin? Couldn't find an announcement anywhere but I might have looked in the wrong places too. Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas :)

Hey I had to look around a bit, but i remembered there was an announcement that covered the 'coming out of beta' topic. Though it didnt get its own special forum thread for easy locating as we might have expected.

The forum was titled: Sylestia's 10th Anniversary
The Beta tag was removed around the time the faelora species was revamped.

The snippet:
"Sylestia is finally rounding a corner that we have been stuck behind for the last couple of years. We are super excited to finally rebuild the last of our core features, feel satisfied with the state of the game to remove our beloved 'beta' tag, and forge ahead into the future."

Oh right, the Lost Grove doesnt seem to be vanishing or anything as far as i know.
In fact you have to complete the lost grove to access the newer zone/dungeon.

"The Lost Grove will remain open for quite awhile longer. So don't worry; everyone has tons of time to continue farming, conquering, and giving those poor Lost Grove pets a proper home."

so much to quote from the forum but yeah.. here is another.

"All of Sylestia's current Exploration content will be removed when we switch over to our new systems down the road. Keep in mind, this is not happening anytime soon. =P We have a lot of developmental work to do before this is even on the horizon. But, we are working our way towards this goal.

The Lost Grove was never intended to be a permanent feature. It was meant to be a testing grounds for new features while we worked on other major aspects of the game and eventually revamped everything to a brand new system. At this point, the Lost Grove has served its purpose and will remain open for players to enjoy until Sylestia relaunches, at which point all of the current Exploration code will become obsolete."

Fascinating, i kinda missed that announcement.
