I've tried to follow the guide, but I only found it after I chose a lot of random stuff and I cannot figure out what to do now.

it really doesn't matter if you chose a bunch of random stuff, the maze loops like a vaguely eldritch pretzel.
steps:
Read the room description text when you enter it. This will tell you what room it is, eg, jade, sapphire, etc.
Know that each mirror in each room has a set destination (eg, jade left always goes to emerald) and more than one room can link to a particular room (eg, Amethyst Left ALSO goes to emerald)
Generally speaking my next suggestion for those going in without spoilers is
> have paper+pen or notepad ready so you can keep track of where you have been
> from the room you are in, start your mapping by going left [record room], left [record], repeat until you end up in a room you've already recorded, then go right [record]. If you hit a room you've recorded already, right, if not, left.
This is basically the Aryth Maze's equivalent of putting your hand on the wall to find your way out.
If you're following the map and don't care about spoilers, though
> read room description to find out what room you're in
> pick the left or right mirrors that will get you to the room chain you need fastest
