Hello! I finally got to the Lost Grove, but I didn't encounter any themed pets during the solar eclipse event. Do I have to compete all stages of the quest first, or was I very unlucky?

The Lost Grove themes can be encountered at any time in the lost grove (in their respective sections, depending on which theme), but their encounter rate is very very low, to balance the fact that the lg is available at all times once it's unlocked and the native themes do not retire like festival themes do.

With the SE pets, they only appeared for the 20 minute periods when the Eclipse was active, and even having 100% SE Attraction wasn't a guarantee of an SE encounter during any given eclipse activation.


Certain things can increase the chances of finding themes in LG
> LG perfume (for each perfume where you do not find a theme, it adds a stacking bonus to the next perfume, increasing until a theme is found)
> tier 5 tracker (not achievable until you have progressed to stage 13, since you need Temple materials to do tier 4 and 5 barracks upgrades)
> Ancient Grove Eggling artifact (from easter event- also not accessible unless you've reached the Temple, since you need access to the Temple area to access some of the egg-hunt eggs)

> collecting chest/ore spawn nodes is involved in forest/cavern nest spawns triggering
> Releasing pets older than 42 days increases the chances of a forest/cavern nest spawning
Forest/Cavern Nests are not a guaranteed theme but have a somewhat high chance

(Temple nests are not associated with these mechanics and just have a low chance of spawning on entering a room in the temple for the first time or upon defeating an enemy mob. They are guaranteed themes though)

They spawned in the forest (area1) and caverns (area2)

Hi again! About how many pets should I expect to release before it starts being worth it? Is it more like 50, or more like 200?

Unfortunately I can't help there, since I have absolutely no clue; I am not a person who does much releasing
