Traditional Pumpkin Carving Contest
The object of this contest is to carve your own real pumpkin!
This is the Traditional Carving Contest!
There is also a Digital Contest, which can be found here.
Rules
1. You must submit one entry of a carved pumpkin. If no pumpkin is available to you, you may use a vegetable or fruit alternative. However, no other types of carvings will be accepted.
2. You must provide a minimum of 3 separate pictures of your carving process along with your Username and the Date physically displayed somewhere in each picture. You may provide a lit/unlit version of your final entry. Here is an example of how this should look:
You do not need to post them in a grid like this. I just did this to save space.
A Player Guide on How to Upload Images
3. You must actually be the one to create your entry! While assistance is fine, you cannot simply have someone else carve for you and then claim credit. If you are tracing an image for your entry, you must have been the one to originally create that image (Unless what you are tracing is a Sylestia asset, such as our pets, avatars, monsters, etc)! The main point of this contest is to have fun and to get involved in something outside of the digital world. So just do your best and have fun. =) We want to see your creativity!
4. Please do not reserve posts. Only post when you are ready to submit an entry. If your entry is still ongoing, you may post early with the progress that you currently have and edit your post as you finish.
5. Please do not ping me unless you have a specific question or concern that I need to address. Thank you.
6. The due date for submitting your entry is by the posted end date in the Fall Festival Overview Thread, which will be posted once the Fall Festival begins.
Notes
If this is your first time attempting to carve a pumpkin, here is a helpful guide on the entire process:

My snek presenting the untouched pumpkin.
My dog licking the pumpkin, which has been deskinned in the planned areas.
One of my cats being fat next to the finished pumpkin
I tried to get a picture with it lit but I have no candles small enough to fit in it. This warty pumpkin was carved using woodcarving tools meant for miniatures, and my hands now hurt very much.

OK - so being a Halloween non-believer, I have never carved a pumpkin before but I felt I should rise to the challenge!
This part I can do - scoop the goop
Carving - opted to surface carve mainly
And here it is lit up with candles - it's a bit too dark to see the name label properly but hopefully it's OK
I may add a few more details tomorrow if I have time! |

Getting started! I had to wash my pumpkin a bit, it was kinda muddy.
I should not have tried to freehand a deer skull, my family insists it looks like a demonic goat :/
Alright, most of the way there! I wasn't sure if I wanted to carve out the eyes and ears fully for an extra haunted look, but I decided not to in the end.
Finished product in the light! Certainly an easier time than last year, where all I had for tools was my kitchen knife, haha.
Glowy Time!
Alternate Glowy Haunted Deer Skull, because it looked better in lower light.
