Hello,

I finally unlocked the Lost Grove Temple, but I am greatly struggling to make progress. I was wondering if anyone had info on the enemies in there, or strategies to defeat them? I'm trying to keep records of all the ones I've encountered so far and their statistics,; I'll post them below. I got to who I presume is the stage 1 boss, and was killed in less than 10 round. Also figured out that maybe a fire pet is a bad idea, if killing some voidlings boosts the boss's powers? Any info/tips/help would be appreciated.

Edit: This is my party when going into the temple

the floor 1 temple has two minor bosses and a floor boss. Floor bosses don't appear until after all minor bosses on the floor are beaten (you may run across the floor boss's room before beating the minor bosses though, which will be empty and give you a message about like, room is ominous, return later kinda thing)

Every minor boss you beat on a floor adds 1 point to your Power of the Ancients (PotA) buff, which caps at 60. 60 PotA increases your Damage stats by 60% and Mitigations by 30%. Beating a floor boss for the first time will set your PotA buff for that floor to 60 automatically)

Fire is less optimal for the temple bosses than air is overall, as most of them are either alone or with wisps that power them up when defeated, but is viable, especially for non-boss enemies.

You probably want to upgrade your gear when you can, to either +SW or to Primordial.
(I'd say maybe put some of your Light Healer's profs into dex, maybe 3int/2dex and one somewhere else if you like? Here are my Earth tank and Light Healer for references (and our air attacker as just a bonus addition I guess))

With the regular humanoid temple enemies, if there's a red/orange one (Maniac), take that one out first, then purple+white (Fanatic), followed by grey/blue (Visionary), then green+brown (Zealot)

With Voidmancer, as you might be able to tell, they'll get stronger for every voidling you take out, but voidlings grow in strength the longer they're alive.
Generally, you wanna kind of take them out in ~7 turns, not too fast or too slow.

Floor 1 can also throw two other minor bosses, Pyromancer and Earthbender. Which two of the three you get per floor per reset is random. (floor 2 also has two minors and the floor boss. floor 3 and 4 have three minors and the floor boss, and adds another potential minor boss into its pool, ancient temple guardian. The Crypt has all 4 minor bosses and the Final boss, Vexxar)

What are your Barracks building ranks currently at?

Oh gosh, so those aren't even the bosses.

My Temple of Light is at Rank 3, Training Grounds are at Rank 2, and the other's are al level 1. I figured healing and battling were probably the most important. I do think I have some flasks from events though, so I should probably use those next try.

I have the blueprints for a primordial fire pet gear and stoneweaver reaver equipment, and was planning to buy some light stoneweaver gear. I just don't have the material to make the red and orange rarity equipment, and it was kinda my understanding that the materials were obtained from lost temple enemies or bosses, so I was hoping I could go without them, then defeat something to get the material to make them.

Thank you for the references on your pets. I will change my light pet's proficiency points. Do you think just saving up and buying stoneweaver equipment for each pet would make a big difference?

Thank you so much for the guide as well!

you can buy primordials from other players- people like me who are late temple/crypt who already have fully upgraded gear often want players to say "hey can I buy x sort of prim gear from you?" because our orb and ore stacks are all capped and we want to clear them out

ToL only really hits 'yeah this is useful' once it is tier5 and Lights Renewal gets its upgrade like it's evolving from magikarp to gyarados. healing like, 50hp per turn to 'heals a bit each turn, but also each pet gets one free full (under most circumstances*) heal if their hp hits 0
(* it heals them by consuming and giving them all the remaining hp that the buff would have healed them over the duration of its presence, which is a full heal in basically any circumstance unless it only had like, less than 150 turns left of its 900 turns of 100hp per turn healing)

Trading Post sells healing items, but also at higher tiers sells ent flasks (starting at t3 with lessers). It doesn't actually provide an explanation of ent flasks anywhere on the page before you unlock them, but in short they give a significant buff to a stat (or stats). Lesser ent flasks buff 150 points to the stat the flask is for for 100 turns (or 15% for the mitigation flask)
An Ent flask is used on a pet before entering a battle not during a battle.

As you'll know Training grounds both passively permanently buffs your pets' stats when in the grove, but also you can debuff enemy types, which can be very handy.
The minor bosses in the temple fall under the Named (General) category while the floor bosses are in the Mega-Bosses and Bosses category

Thank you so much for the info!

I was able to defeat the Voidmancer and Earthbender in the first temple floor using the guide you provided.
I think I'll probably wait and try to level up the ToL and Training grounds, plus adding the buffs against enemy types, before going at the boss. I tried it once, and died fairly quickly.

I think there was some festival or login reward that gave Ent flasks, so I have a couple of the superior magic, power, and protection ones, so I'll wait on upgrading the trading post for now.

I've seen a couple of people posting about selling primordial gear, I just thought it was a bit too pricey for me.
I'm also presuming the ancient clasps, cores, moldings, and codexes drop from temple bosses, so I've got to defeat them if i want to make gear myself. So with mostly vinethorn equipment it is.

Hopefully if I upgrade the gear I've got - vinethorn, a few stoneweave and 1 primordial, and upgrade some barracks buildings then I'll still be able to take out the boss soon.
Thank you for the advice!

Congrats on punching some bosses!

all bosses in the temple can also drop stoneweave gear, so I'd suggest not bothering with upgrading the vinethorns and just going straight into that
Can't really speak on pricing/costs of gear for you specifically since I don't know what kind of price range is reasonable, but we do have some spare sw gear lying around, and I'd be willing to make prim. gear ~100k a piece (40k of that? straight into gold ingot conversion. pricey things)
(keeping in mind that each rarity tier up is stat wise a bit stronger than the previous tier's +2, so VT would have to be +3 to be better than a base sw, and sw has to be +3 to out-stat base prim)
