Hi everyone, I know how genetics in Sylestia work, but I'm new to managing breeding projects. I have about 7 6-vis themed breeding projects going on rn. Keeping track of which pets to release, which pets I have yet to breed, how to pair pets, etc. is extremely difficult for me. As of now, I breed the 1st gen randomly, making sure to introduce as many traits as possible to the offspring. I take whatever comes out & I pair them together, release the extra pets, or find gaps in the traits & breed new pets. As of now, I keep track of everything in a notebook, but I still feel I could maximize efficiency. What are your strategies for breeding projects & how do you keep track of all your pets?

Also, I'm not sure if I'm overbreeding pets for a max-stat project. How many 6-vis Sunshine Beach Luffoxes do I need to start with if I want to max stat my Luffoxes? Here is an example of the starting traits:
Health: 200 / 200 (200 + 0)
Mana: 0 / 100 (100 + 0)

Physical Damage: 8
Magical Damage: 12
Strength: 16 (16 + 0)
Intelligence: 24 (24 + 0)
Dexterity: 32 (32 + 0)
Agility: 40 (40 + 0)
This means I will need about 10 generations Prisma just to get to max stat. I don't buy diamonds, so I won't be able to get nurture boost. My plan says I should have about 7 6-vis Luffoxes by the end of the breeding project that are not siblings, half-siblings, or parent-child. Is this enough?

Finally, now I have an atrocious number of Exclusive pets in my stable, how do I get rid of them? I don't want to release Exclusives, but I am planning on releasing non-6-vis purebred.
Thanks in advance for any help!

My personal tactic is just trying to get all the genes I want as carried, so fill all slots asap. After that it's just breeding over and over, getting more and more vis, until I reach 6v. I think I got the 6c advice from this guide? I don't really keep track for just trait breeding, (I am probably very disorganised) I just breed randomly until I want to max stat them.

As for the max-stats, you just need two pairs. Each pair makes two babies (so four babies to prisma!) and voil, you got two new pairs to continue breeding with. I am currently maxing the Lagoon Nymph Nephs with that tactic, here's a progress baby as an example!

Also, for nurture boosts, you can save up scales, and then use them during fests. That's when most nurturing happens so you get more bang for your buck! ...or scales.

Thank you so much for your advice Leen! Please let me know when your Nephinis are done, I would love to buy one once my projects are done.

I've only ever used the scales option for nurture boost, honestly I kind of forgot there was a diamonds option for them (although you can also purchase diamonds for gold via the currency exchange)
If you get magical pies from like, winter wonderland or wherever, those can also be helpful, if you aren't sure you'll be able to get as many people nurturing them, since the pies double each nurture's outcome on the baby.

But yeah, generally you want to get traits you want on them locked in first. Collect any nurtures you can along the way during this period on success hatches. That way when you get to the stat breeding you've gotten at least some head start on where they started, and haven't used philters on babies with the wrong traits.

For tracking, you could use microsoft excel or google spreadsheets- I use spreadsheets personally. That way you can copypaste ids/names, make filters to sort them, add new tabs for new generations if you want, etc

Here's a screenshot of one of our Infernal Salamander vorp pages

(the blue F was one I genderswapped from male to female I believe)

Thank you, Scathreoite! I didn't know pies can double nurturing effects. I have a bunch I was going to use to speed up my projects, but this is also a good use.
