iota (n.)
1. the ninth letter of the Greek alphabet, transliterated as i.
the ninth star in a constellation.
2. an extremely small amount.
"nothing she said seemed to make an iota of difference"

Hi and welcome to my first RP ^_^. I've been working on this for awhile, and I'm hoping that it'll make sense as it goes because I tend to be a little too verbose when explaining. The basic idea is that you are an "Iota" (a being that can manipulate several things, not the least of things being the actual creation of many things (like armor and relics, but more diverse)). Everything in the world is tied together, but the basic components are colors and the three types of materials: component, trinket, and quantum.

You are in another world... a fairly 'blank' world that you have been assigned to, and have to work together with your fellow Iota to shape it for habitation. There will be certain obstacles, as energy tends to be connected to each other, and even ordinary dandelions can turn into Dandy Lions (there will be combat, and yes you can die). Quantum is a type of material, like trinkets, and can be found in a variety of ways.
Let's say you find some dandelions and want to make them into a relic for your Iota. Sometimes, as you harvest, you can find other things (like enemies), better materials (trinkets), or quantum - which is the building block of the world, and has a couple of quantifiers, the main one being color.

For now, you start in the Landing Zone, where a NPC resides.

Such NPCs will help you with simple tasks if you recruit them, and will have status indicators when they change tasks. They almost always start by simply gathering and depositing iota of colors they show (in the above case, that would be brown and green). Thus, the Landing zone looks grassy and fairly Earth-like.

You start out with a non-fabled 0-vis sylesti (but eventually, you can get to 6-vis). Don't worry, you can just generate a sylesti for the sake of this RP, it doesn't have to be one you own. As you explore, create, and venture out, the world will be shaped by each Iota. Every action (and Iota) influences and is influenced upon the these Iota and what they do. Thus, it is the realm of creation. Have fun!

If anybody has questions, suggestions, or is interested in any way, shape, or form, feel free to post (and ping me)!

The world so far:
Landing Zone:
Fairly safe... and barren. At least it's Earth-like, and grassy. There are rocks to the East and a small clump of bushes to the North. Ruins lie to the West, with torn cloth banners and leather scraps scattered across the large area. The sunken ruins have an intact staircase leading inward.
Currently, Murk is in this zone.
Status: Idle

Storm Zone: discovered by Skyrose
This zone seems to be raining heavily, and there is a dense fog. The border extends for miles and miles. When approaching this zone, you can feel the power of the downpour, even from outside of it. There is static in the fog. How... stormy.
Currently no NPCs are in this zone.

Crystal Zone: discovered by Cherry Blossom
The boundary isn't as pronounced as the Dark Zone, but it's clear if someone looks for it intentionally. The most prominent feature is the stark saturated crystals that gather in clumps through the zone, each clump reaching a fair height. Some crystals are... floating in the air. Further in the zone, there is an expansive rift that breaks open the ground - spanning the width, there is a rickety bridge. Underground through a crevice is completely mind boggling empty, there are roosts on the ceiling and a couple Nytes flying or traversing across the expanse. The gaping darkness below doesn't seem to ever end.
Status: In the underdark.
Status: Third island, idle.

Dark Zone: discovered by Dark Secret
True to its name, this zone is dark and filled with eyes and vicious noises. The trees in this area have very tough bark. Further south is a dark and putrid stream that fogs, bubbles, and faintly glowing foam. There is a cavernous system to the West. This zone does not seem safe...
Currently, Mint and Death is in this zone.
Status: Helping Caspi
Status: Idle

Murk strides across the grassy Landing Zone, deep in thought. It was his task to welcome them and answer questions, as well to render assistance as required. As he reached the approximate center of the Landing Zone, Murk carefully observed the skies and sighed. It looked like it would be a long day. Mustering his patience, he sits down, awaiting the arrival of the first Iota with a stoic expression.

How do they enter? Like are they suddenly there? Or do the fly/fall down?)

Yeah, they pretty much just show up at the Landing Zone. Imagine sort of a reverse UFO tractor beam, and you'll get the idea of how they are transported.)
