Hi, my name is Domby and I'm a trapping addict. lol.
Seriously though...I can't stop. It's like every single rare or uncommon I see I'm like oooohhhhh she/he would look good with (insert name of pet I already own here). I've caught like five within the last hour. I can't afford this habit!
Anyone else have this problem?

I love your avatar hehe. c:
I consider myself a sort of expert at catching pets. I take 21 of each trap out to the field each time, but my taste is very sharp. I only freak out over epic pets (2vis), which are rare outside of events, so I just leave it to others to catch em and for me to buy em. xD
Otherwise, 80% of what I like, I catch. ;P My stables and spring festival pets can speak for themselves.

Thanks I'm going to Wartburg in the fall so my favorite colors right now are orange and black!
21 of each! :0 I couldn't afford that. I take 10 standard traps when I can afford them (right now I'm trying to save up so I have none, because I'll trap another ten otherwise). The problem is that when I see one I think I "need" I try and try until I succeed (and lately it's taken 1-2 traps per pet so it's not much of a challenge.
And there are so many pretty ones...I just can't help the Luporas and Nyketries...they're my addiction. And tri-tailed Zolnixis...

What I do is take about 60 (30 epic, 20 standard, 10 lesser) with me into the field (but I don't go through them very quickly- I haven't restocked my epics in 2 weeks-I just like to keep them at baseline so I never don't have one when I need it), then decide that I will only use 3 traps for an uncommon, 5 for a rare, and however many it takes for an epic. If I see a common or uncommon that looks pretty, I copy and save the colors (right click, copy image location) so that I can generate it later with traits that may actually help me with breeding projects I'm engaged in. Like Flute, I tend to be very picky with what I catch, except for new breeds, like nytekrie and lupora, which are usually pretty easy to sell.

That's true. I usually can sell the new species for a pretty solid profit. And if I don't sell them, I can set a breeding fee on the girls or breed them in order to make up for the price of the net I used to catch them.

I used to have a problem with catching too many pets, so now, unless I'm on a mission to find a specific type of pet, I only allow myself to carry 9 traps at a time (3 lesser, 3 standard, 3 strong). If I'm trying to catch event pets or searching for epics/rares, I'll stock up on more.
Unfortunately, now I've developed a problem with impulse buying instead. U///U

I love catching pets, as soon as I see a rare, and the occasional uncommon I'll usually end up catching it even if I don't like it that much ^^'... and I just had an encounter with an Epic Spring Blossom Faelora and I GOT A CRITICAL HIT D:

Trappers ProTip:
If you really want the a pet, don't attempt to kill it. The extra success it adds for lowered health just isn't worth it. Plus 78% of all trappers kill the pet they want when they try to damage it anyways lol.

The easiest way to avoid killing your target is to have your sylestis block themselves. If you do not have block unlocked, use your weakest attack. It is simple and easy.

I had my weakest pet do it's weakest attack since I KNEW that it would only take its damage down a little tiny bit more... and then it got a random critical and I raged XD
(My other 2 pets were blocking the entire time)
