Rules

To celebrate the Spring we will be having an outdoor scavenger hunt! So yes...this means you must go outside to find the items on the list. :)

Once you have found something on the list I ask that you take a picture of it with a piece of paper with your Sylestia username and the date on it. This is so that I know that you are the one that is actually finding the things. :) You also must include pictures, if you don't then your scavenger hunt will not count.

Once you have found everything that you could, come back and post your pictures here in the correct order of the list.

You do not have to find everything on the list. But for each one you find you will receive a point. The more points you have the more times your name will be included in the random generator for when we do the prizes.

Everyone that also participates with at least 10 scavenger finds, will receive the forum title Nature Walker.

Note: Please be respectful of nature. Don't harm any insects or animals while you are outside. Please don't remove, destroy or harm any nests or ant hills. And please leave everything that you find outside (unless it is litter, then you can remove that and throw it away.:)). Thank you.

Scavenger List

1. Find something that is red.

2. Find a yellow flower.

3. Find an animal nest (so a bird nest or squirrel nest etc).

4. Find an ant hill.

5. Find something hairy.

6. Find something that is translucent.

7. Find a flowering tree.

8. Find a plant starting to grow.

9. Find a mammal.

10. Find something bumpy.

11. Find something smooth.

12. Find something that has 3 different colors on it.

13. Find something that flies.

14. Find something that is edible.

15. Find something that is litter (and throw it away!).

16. Find a rock that you think looks interesting.

17. Find something taller than you.

18. Find a feather.

19. Find some animal tracks.

20. Find an insect (don't kill it :) ).


Prizes

Everyone that participates and finds at least 10 Scavenger objectives will receive the forum title Nature Walker. You will receive one point for completing each objective, with a maximum of 20 points. Each point will get your name entered an additional time into the random generator for when I draw prizes.

There will be a First, Second and Third place prize. The Scavenger Hunt ends at the time of the festival which is Sunday, May 10th at 11:59 PM.

First off, I want to apologize for taking so long to get this done. Tonight was the first night in awhile where I actually had time to sit down for the amount of hours that this game needed my attention for.

I want to wholeheartedly thank every single one of you that participated in this game. I greatly enjoyed going through all of your posts...it was like I was taking a nature walk personally with each of you! I loved seeing all the various outdoor scenery from around the world, it was very cool and I appreciate the time everyone took to share that with me. :)

Because this game took me so long to grade and I was blown away by the amount of participants and how much effort everyone put into this, I extended the amount of winners to 10.

You might want to make the point that you really shouldn't take the feather. Most waterfowl, songbird, and falcon/eagle feathers are illegal to possess.

I just don't want to cause anyone legal troubles.

Oooh this sounds fun! I'll definitely be playing, i love the outdoors! (And the insect one:D i collect insects, so I'll try to spot a neat one to photograph^^)

I'm not asking anyone to take anything out of the wild. You're suppose to be taking pictures of things while you're outside. I can't control what people do, but in no way did i ask anyone to take anything home with them.

I will definitely be taking place in this! This sounds so fun!
