The World Began with magic, magic grew askew and raw throughout. After it had bounced around aimlessly for a while, it took a form of a Sylesti, a Ny'vene.
The Ny'vene lived among the new world, shaping things and creating objects. But soon she grew lonely, and depressed. The Ny'vene longed for company, but she had no way to create life. So she stopped creating, and fell asleep in a cave.
For many long years, the world stood, untouched. It was seemingly perfect, quaint, but without life. But the magic had manifested itself in other areas, and the sun and moon saw the lonely world, and decided to send the Ny'vene some company.
Two sylesties, one bright and cheery as the sun itself, and one as mysterious and silent as the moon, found their way into the world, their pawsteps churning up the fresh earth.
With each pawstep the two made, the Ny'vene woke up more and more, until she was finally awake. Confused, the Ny'vene flew from her cave to find the two newcomers, wandering the untrodden world. She landed right next to the two, to hear them speak.
"Greetings." The Lighira said. "I am Sol, messenger of the Sun."
"And I am Luna," The Lupora said, dipping her head in greeting. "Messenger of the Moon."
The Ny'vene nodded to both messengers, and said. "Welcome to this brand new world, I am Arcania."
Years passed, and the three lived together, mostly getting along. But at times, their quarrels seemed to shake the earth or block out the sky. It was during a squabble between Arcania and Sol, the earth seemed to shake violently. But no matter how much Luna pleaded, the two would not stop their fight. Days continued as the fights got worse and the tremors became stronger. Soon, they were so massive even Arcania and Sol seemed to notice. Even though they had stopped fighting, the earth still trembled. Finally, a bright light blinded all of them, and what appeared after surprised the three of them. A young Faelora, looking semi-angry, walked towards them.
"I am the essence of this world, Aerth." He explained to the three sylesties. "If you continue this pesky squabbles," he said, giving all three of them a cold, hard stare in turn. "The world will be destroyed. You have to learn to live in peace. Or there won't be a place for any of you to reside, and all of you will dissipate. Magic isn't easy to come by these days." He growled. "For the sake of the earth, stop."
"Wait," Arcania looked confused. "If you appeared, is there a possibility other representants can appear? Life forms?"
The Faelora pondered this question, seemingly unsure. "There is one thing I know. If elements can be combined, they will create other elements, with a total of twenty one." He looked uneasy. "And if all can come together, there is a chance of creating other life forms, less superior to the elements, of course."
"But how can we combine elements?" Sol asked.
"Your fights. They cause me to be sent up out of the earth. The fights trigger the elements colliding to create new ones. But be advised, be careful as you can destroy this world much easier than you built it up."
"But we have to try," Arcania protested. "Without any other life forms to keep the world occupied, it becomes lonely."
"That, we have." Aerth muttered.
"We?" Luna asked, having now finally spoken the first time since Aerth's arrival.
"Yes. The voices of nature. The other life forms you are looking for. They're essence, but not body. Your fights create body, so that essence can reside." He explained.
"So all we have to do is fight?" Arcania asked.
"Not necessarily." Aerth replied.
"So how then?" Sol asked, looking as bewildered as the other two.
"Mingling works," He said. "By touching your bodies to each other, and willing the essence to mix, it should be enough." He nodded at the three of them.
"So, like this?" Arcania said, touching Aerth.
"Not completely. Both ends have to agree to it."
"Then agree!" There was wonderment in Arcania's eyes, that of a child who had entered the biggest toy store in the world for the first time.
Aerth signed. "If that's what you wish." Both Luna and Sol watched the two sylesties begin, soon, they were enveloped in a bright green light, that faded after a few moments to reveal an Aeridini, looking as bewildered as the three others had just moments ago.
"Oh! Thank you!" The Aeridini was excited and peppy. She flew in circles above the waiting sylesties' heads many times before landing again. "Ahem. I am Flora, the voice of plants." She said. "Thank you for helping me!" And that's how the dieties formed.
