I decided to go ahead and do a guide about pricing items that was suggested here: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?t=2312
Everyone has probably been there before. That moment that you find an item that you already have or really don't like. You don't want it and decide to sell it, but what price is good? You want a price that is low enough that people buy it, but not so low that you don't get much out of it.
This is why I'm writing this. So let's begin:
Quick recap on finding items: 2nd post
Selling on the broker: 3rd post
Selling over PM/chat: 4th post
Auctions: 5th post
Other: 6th & 7th posts

Recap on finding items:
Items come from many places you can find them from treasure chests or as drops from bosses and other enemies. They may also be prizes from participating in official or unofficial forum games or the eggling auctions.
When you get an item it will show up in your inventory.

Selling on the broker:
One way to sell items is through the trade broker underneath the tab trade
Here are some things you will want to look at when pricing things for the trade broker:
1)Anyone can see what you have posted-you can't put tags on it like 'newbie only' or anything
2)Gold only- The trade broker only uses gold amounts so you will not be able to trade for other items.
3)Other Prices- What are similar items going for?
Now let's talk price:
When you want to put something up on the trade broker you will be able to see how many items that are currently up for sell, and what has sold previously in the last seven days. Both will show you what the high, low, and average prices are.
This is important, because if there are a lot of an item it means it won't be worth as much. If you put it up for a high amount it will never sell.
You've seen the prices so what should you sell your item for?
Do you want it to sell quick? If you do put it on the low end of things
How many items are currently for sell? The less items up for sell the more rare your item so the more likely that you can sell it for a higher price.
Is it an old item or something that you can rarely get? Items like retired festival items and monthly items are worth more than other items.
In the end the price is up to you, but make sure that you look at prices for the same item in order to be able to sell it.

Selling over PM/chat:
When you sell directly to a person it is easier to guarantee that you'll both be happy with the trade. Selling to someone you can talk to, you can: figure out the best price in both your eyes and barter for higher and lower prices.
Selling over PM:
Often you have a buyer in mind. Either you found them through chat or they have a wish list on their profile.
Selling over Chat:
People often sell items over chat during fests, because it is pretty quick and easy and a lot of people will see the item that you want to sell.
When selling over chat try to have a price range in mind already. Things will go smother if you already know what you want.
Knowing what to price things:
1) Look at the broker.
2) Ask for suggestions. Many people already know what something is worth to them and will let you know their opinions if you ask.
3) Read the chat. Sometimes other people are selling things as well and you can read what they are pricing things.
Etiquette to follow:
As a buyer:
1) It is not your item yet. Don't demand that someone sells you something or not sell it to someone.
2) Don't buy an item if you don't want it. Yes you can, yes it is not against the rules, but it is rather rude to buy something and then turn around and sell it.
As a seller:
1) People want the best price, but don't go too low. Look at the broker to see what the item is going for.
2) Don't set the bar too high either, people won't buy if you do.
3) If you don't know what the item is worth then suggest a price that sounds good to you. It's your item it's your choice what to sell it for.
Both:
1) Everyone will be happier if you are kind and considerate towards one another.
2) When you are using chat, try to keep the exchange short. If you can't, take it to PM. Other people are using chat to do other things.
3) Don't spam the chat with items for sell or with items your looking for. Mention it and then leave it alone for a bit.

Auctions:
What a Auction is:
Usually a fast paced bidding war. After you post an item people will tell you what they would pay for it and the highest price wins.
How to set it up:
Starting bid price?:
Should you do a buy it now option?:
