I respect that there is a limit on the number of pings any user can send out on one post in order to reduce spam, but recently it's been a bit of nuisance for some of us who want to send out pings legitimately to users who want them. I don't know so much about other groups, but members of Vibrant Vorpas have been having to consistently double post in order to make group-wide announcements, and we've been steadily gaining membership to the point that we might even have to start triple posting, and it's clogging up the thread.
I'm guessing based on how many VV members we have vs. how long double posting has been necessary that the current ping limit is somewhere around 20. Could it be bumped up to 50? I don't know how many lines of code are involved in that, but I'm assuming all that would need to be changed is a single variable.
Please and thanks! <3

A way to edit pings would also be great too, as well as an option to 'notify' people if you edit your pings/threads/replies

With the growing popularity of clubs this does sound like a very good idea.

This would be nice.
As far as clubs go, I know I've also seen other sites create a clubs feature (an actual sign up as a member through the backend type thing). Then when a club is pinged, e.g. #clubX, all members of that club are pinged. This way, only 1 ping needs to be done for a club. It makes things quite organized.

Something like club features might also be useful in anticipation of guilds, too. Though I'd imagine that would have to be a site revamp feature if used.

A guild (or group) posting ability would be wonderful, Savynn. Short of that, I do think the ping limit needs to be raised. As SparklingGanymede says, it's becoming frustrating to ping all members of popular groups.
I also like NightbaneWolf's idea of editing a ping post. I sometimes forget to ping a user when I'm replying to their thread and have to make a new/redundant post.
I'm aware that the limits are in place to stop spam. Having been on another site that had to essentially fire-fight against bots, I understand that it's a difficult balance.

Maybe increase pings on only certain areas of a forum?
Artwork trades doesn't take as many pings so no increase there, but in groups and guild there could be a raise. Maybe something like that where some areas it is un necessary or needed unlikely

I second the ping increase motion as well.
