So, I was thinking. On most of the sites I've been on, someone has set up a little Newbie Mentors thread. Why not do that here? We can assign "Mentors", other players who have been on the site longer, to the younger, newer, generation of Sylestians that ask for one. The Newbies can ask them questions, get some guidance. Eventually becoming experienced members of the community, willing to mentor others. Unless, of course, someone already has done this and I simply failed to notice! xD I was just wondering what you guys thought of it and if you had any suggestions or ideas.

I think this sounds like a great idea! It's such a complex site, I was really confused at first, but I was too shy to ask questions on the boards, haha.

I certainly wouldn't mind taking a newbie or two under my wing! I love helping out, and I know that some things can be a bit confusing, especially with the site still being in beta and things changing here and there! While we have the newbie faq, I think some people might be too shy (such as ghost said) to post there or check out the chat.
Though I would suggest that it be clear that this is a strictly advice thing, helping them around and learning the game. While I don't mind helping out a bit on the gold side, I would worry about some people getting the impression that their mentor was also a sponsor.

I'm not sure I'm up to the task of taking a newbie under my wing, but I just LOVE to receive mail and if it's somebody asking for help, I'd just love to be helping out!~ <3
Since I can't be ALWAYS fully online, it might be hard to be taking a newbie for "mentor-ing", but I'd be more than happy to answer anyone's questions if they message me~ <3

Well, I didn't expect such a great response! xD This is awesome!
I'm going to make a thread for it and you guys can come sign up as mentors. I'll post the link here when I'm done.
EDIT: Which board would I put it in? General Discussion or FAQ?
