What is the difference between themed and tagged, and why are themed or their offspring more valuable than normal sylesties? I thought i understood all this but now i'm reconsidering
Edit: Also, should i have put this thread in FAQ? |

Well..... tagged are themed, but they're the first generation and have purple 'tags' on their profiles. Themed are themed by definition because they each have a specific colour scheme that goes with their 'theme' (usually denoted by their name). They're seen as valuable because of that designated colour scheme and the purebred offspring are valuable because, it is assumed, those offspring are all descended from tagged ancestors and are, therefore, those themed colours but with more traits. Exclusive themed, and especially exclusive tagged, and more especially fabled exclusive tagged, are more valuable because they are harder to get than their tamed cousins.
Not sure if that told you anything you didn't already know XD |

Why can't you just use an essence or something to have the same color scheme and traits? |

Because then they would not be descended from the originally caught / gifted tagged themes. Only those that are tagged and descended from tagged sylesties are considered themed. You can create pets with the same colours if you want, but they won't be considered themed (the value comes from the limitation inherent with the tagged parents and the effort of making sure that the offspring all go back to those relatively limited ancestors). |

Ah! Thanks for bringing that up, Sav. Totally didn't even think to broach the subject of the pretag themes! Sad, given my obsession with the Rose Petal qitaris XD |

Np! I think it's easy to forget about them since you don't see them that often. |
