I want to get more pets, i only have one. I go to the generator, and I color the pet how i want, i cant click generate pet. And where the mutations and marking there is something that wont let me make a pet

you have to have essence to generate a pet you can purchase those at the diamond shop ^^

As said by Ivyfrost, you need an essence to be able to create a pet in the generator

Essences can be obtained several ways:
Definite:
> Buy from Diamond Shop (best to do when there's a Sale on)
> Buy off of Trade Broker (varies by users, price varies by pet species and whether it's a Regular, Enhanced, or Mystical Essence)
> Obtain from an Item Trade thread.

Chance Based (Rare chance; Regular or Enhanced Essence):
> Battle (will give essence of defeated species)
> Nurture (will give essence of nurtured species)
> Mission Satchels (random)
> Jinxie's Jamboree (random)
> Final chest after beating last boss in a Dungeon (random)

Other:
> If you have a design picked in a "Design a Gene/Mutation" thread, you will get a Mystical Essence of the species it the Gene or Mutation is implemented on.

There are three types of essence, also:
Regular
- Blue
- most common
- usually the cheapest in broker
- give two Trait Points (one vis or two carries) and have some colour swing

Enhanced
- Purple
- rarer
- give four Trait Points (two vis/ one vis+two carries/ four carries) and have less colour swing

Mystical
- Yellow/Gold
- can not be obtained via chance-based methods (at least, I'm reasonably certain you can't get them from Jamboree. I expect not)
- typically the most expensive
- give fourTrait Points (two vis/ one vis+two carries/ four carries) and have almost no colour swing

(in other words, the most visible traits you can get on a pet via the generator is two- the easiest way to get the fae in your provided image would probably be getting two Mystical essences and generating two 4-carry faes to breed)

Since the rest has already told you about essences, I just want to let you know there are other ways to get pets besides generating them.

As you continue with the tutorial, you will receive a quest to "capture a sylesti". This quest will give you a pet of the same species but opposite gender as your starter pet, and you don't need to pay anything to get it. It is an event that will be triggered as you play in esior's fields.

You may also encounter eggs/hatchlings in the wild that you can choose to adopt or ignore.

Otherwise, to catch pets from the wild, you will need traps. These can be bought from the towns (you will need to advance enough of the storyline to reach them). Traps have a chance of failing though, so you may need multiple traps to catch one pet.

You can also get pets from the scale shop using scales. These pets are random, and the higher they cost means the higher chance they have more traits. You can get scales from nurturing eggs/hatchlings. You can do so by going to your hatchery, and click "help nurture sylesties", and choose what you want to nurture from the dropdown list. (Nurturing pets also have a chance of dropping essences)

Another way to get more pets would be to buy them from other players. You can do so by browsing the pet auction forum, or using the advanced search (top left corner). The advanced search allows you to choose the species, gender, traits, and price range you want, and will generate all results that fit your perimeters, so you can see which pets on public sale that matches what you want.



If you want to own the pet that you've posted the pic of, the easiest way would probably to search in the advanced search pets with the traits you want, buy that and dye them. You can get dyes from the scale shop, or buy them from other players on the trade broker.
