So we all know vampires, mermaids, werewolves, but I personally find lesser known mythical creatures much cooler. Still working on the story, but I'm thinking that the monsters have found a way to the human world, and do whatever your monster does there

Rules:
You can't be a common or really well known creature
(Ex: vampire, werewolf, griffin, mermaid, dragon, centaur, fairy)
Don't be overpowered
No controlling other people's characters

List on Mythical creatures (if you know one you want me to add let me know)

Selkie: They live their lives as seals, but can take the seal off like a coat, and become a normal human. They can live on land for up so 7 years.

Nymph: Female minor dieties of nature

Sirens: Typically portrayed as female, they are similar to mermaids. They sing songs to lure sailors to their death

Lamia: Top half of a human, has a snake tail instead of legs.

Kitsune: a fox spirit that can transform into a human, they either trick people or are faithful guardians or companions

Wyvern: a dragon like creature that has 2 legs, 2 wings, and no arms. There is a sea variant with a fish tail rather than a dragon tail.

Valkyrie: Mythical warrior race of females with wings.

Harpy: death spirit with the form of a bird with a human head

If anyone has any more suggestions let me know

I feel like a Valkyrie is more of a warrior class than a mythical creature, though if it is a mythical creature and I'm mistaken, please inform me of the mythical qualities of them.

Your character can still be a Valkyrie as a job/ warrior class, part of the monster army.

Well, the monsters(mythical creatures) have a kingdom society, and have a defense army, of course in the mythical realm there's multiple kingdoms, most have a specific mythical species ruling, of course most are mixed species kingdoms, their main race is determined by the current rulers.
