Hi! I'm fairly new, so I haven't had much experience.
How do you change your active pet? I have two and I don't know how.

To change the pets you explore with, you have to use the Party Manager Page! The link is under the "Explore" tab on the menu bar.
To remove a pet from your party, click the red minus above their picture.
To add a pet, scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the pet you want from the drop-down menu, and hit the green plus sign. Then hit the green "Set Party" button. :)

Hi! Back again. How do you have and adolescent grow to an adult?

You just wait. At maybe 27 days of age, an adolescent should be an adult.

Dragonadder's right - it's mostly just a matter of waiting. There are a couple of really in-depth things that go into it too, though, so if you're interested in knowing more specific mechanics of it, I'll explain it a little further.
A pet's age is technically measured in points - points kind of represent the hours the pet has existed, but can be varied by nurturing, and can be random for tamed pets. If a pet is genetically tested, their exact age in points will be visible in their image code.
For example, I have a lighira that is still an adolescent. His profile says he's 18 days old. If I right click his picture and select "copy image location" (or something like that - it's different for different browsers), I get this:
I underlined the part that tells his exact age. Maturity is the most exact way of telling a pet's age!
0 - 72 points: egg
73 - 215 points: hatchling
216 - 647: adolescent
Just remember that a pet has to be genetically tested in order to see its maturity!
Last thing: there are diamond-shop items that can speed up a pet's growth time. Magical Pies automatically age a pet by 144 hours, which cuts your waiting time by about 6 days!
Sorry for the really long reply, lol. I just wanted to make sure you got the whole picture! :)
