What the title says! :)

Tell us some things you do for your Sylesties that you don't really need to do (aka not affecting game stats) but do anyway because of aesthetics, imagination, or whatever... or that you just plain like to do that you think is weird!

I'll start with a few of mine.--

--Not releasing unwanted breeding experiments until they are least of Adolescent age. Have to be able to fend for themselves out there!

--No inbreeding, ever. (Though I tend to mix and match generations--my Sylesties must have a really complex family life!)

--Sylvorpas have something about their face and body that makes me think of Pern dragons, even though I haven't found one yet with wings. When I named my first one after one of the dragons in the novels, I later realized I mixed up the gender. Now all of my Pern-named Sylvorpas are gender-benders as a result! (And one a color-bender, but that's to honor a retcon.)

Your turn!

Fellow Pern Reader!

I Ask others to buy then release my pets because I cant bear to do the releasing myself.

I Like to test pets before I sell them(Even If It means waiting two months on Bound)

I name some of my Sylesties after real life people. When I want to release them, I can't help but hesitate because of guilt. I feel like I've hurt them when they are released.

Hey there! I've been wanting to read Pern for a while, my mom has all the books XD.

Some things I do are

-Making sure that a Sylesti is a perfect match for another one in my stables if the other doesn't have a mate already.

-Making up stories for my Sylesties so I feel bad if I ever think of releasing them.

-Bookmarking stables that have been abandoned with pets in them under a tab called Sylesti Graveyards so I can mourn them.

-Giving ALL of my Puffadores two-word names that fit their colors or traits. Such as Lady Valentine being named for her Valentine Hearts mutation or Monarch's Wing being named for his white, black and orange color pattern which at the time had less white and more orange.

Hello fellow Pern lovers!

-Test breed until I find one pretty offspring then hit breed.
-Endlessly enter coloring contest s even though I suck
-Put "SCS" in front of each name.
-Try to train everything...yeah.
-try to get there the second the egg is able to hatch.
Yeah, I have more...maybe in a few days.

Waste dyes on making a non max stat pet prettier.
Sentimentally not release my first few pets even though I'm a relentless releaser.
Spend extra money on an extra pretty max stat though... well, the stats are the same....
Only naming keepers and non project pets when they hit adolescence, even if they've already been tested.
Trying to name all pets in English.
I kept a pet that had a dex of 8 since it was so clumsy that it wouldn't be able to survive in the wild.
Buy avis.

I try to give all my female Sylestis one worded names (like Honey) and all my male Sylestis two worded names (like Dark Winds)!

Haha, redundancies!

Mine:

All my anthias lunemara must be extra-terrestrial or space named (with the exception of Eosin and Ultraviolet. I'm just too lazy to rename those right now)

all my bottled moonlight lunemara must have really complex Feminine names: Females have names relating to the 'Feminine' in mysticism or religion, whereas males follow Jungian ideas (the female soul in a male body).

I have a soft spot for abandoned lunemara egglings (found in the wild). Usually these lunemara will hatch useless, but I can't stop thinking about how how bad it is for an ant/lune to lose its colony.

Another one I like to do: Invert the color screen so I can see my pets in different color schemes

Try to give all my pets a combination of the parents names...yeah, it gets weird. Once, long ago on another name, I had to name a horse Little Excited Luna Crocodile. Yeah....not my proudest moment. She was one of the best TB's I've ever had on that game. So....f you start seeing names like "Snow Rock" and "God Of Honor", just remember the parent name rule.
