@Site_Users,
I think this is a fix everyone will be super happy about!
When messing with some new genes I figured out the issue as to why transparent colors appeared so... thick and ugly when compiled. After an easy fix, all pets now compile 100x better.
Specifically, transparency is now nice and, well, transparent. Also, the outline lines are no longer visible when say putting a white gene on a white body. They will blend in how they should. Below are some examples of the improvement.
Rejoice!!!

Woot woot!! I hope you plan to tell the secret to everyone on that! Is it programming or is in the making of the graphics themselves? |

I have mixed feelings about this The pink in my her fire mane was chosen to be very bright like this:
Edit the old image has now changed ill post an old one soon
and I assume her new look will be like this in her thumbnail that has updated:
I had to resize the thumb nail to 249 because it switched back to the old version at 250. But as you can see the mane colour is considerably paler because of the new transparency |

@Krinadon,
More of a question of what should be transparent. Will qitari's fire mane and zolnixi's spirit flame and lupora's ethereal wings be transparent? I noticed that nytekrie's stardust seemed more transparent and the haze around zolnixi's spirit flames was transparent, but not sure about the rest. |

Yes, anything with a glow or blur effect is supposed to be transparent. After the code change, the pets on site now look as they do in the PSD files.
Before the change, opacities were basically being layered on very thick - they weren't blending properly. Now, they are as they were created.
This gets rid of the outline lines where colors meet (notable on the Ny'vene bellies, Lighira mouths, Zolnixies, etc etc). Also, things like fire, glows, dust now appear much cleaner and vivid rather than smoggy. |
