Hello everyone! We will be holding design contests once again for the 2017 Fall Festival! Please make sure to read the rules carefully!


Rules

1. Design a pet gene or mutation for only the following species: Aurleon, Draeyl, Kelpari, Luffox, Lunemara, Morkko, Nephini, Ny'vene, Puffadore, Qitari, Ryori, Sylvorpa, Vulnyx, Zolnixi. After you are done designing your trait, come back to this thread and post the image in this thread. To get a blank pet image just go to the generator page and take the image from there. You can resize the image to the maximum size via the image url, the maximum size is 500.

2. You must draw the trait on the pet. If you feel that your drawing skills aren't great, then along with your drawing you can include a description to better help us envision your mutation. If you are unable to draw something, then I am sorry, there will be no exceptions.

3. You are allowed to be free with your creative process, so it is not necessary to make it Fall themed.

4. Please do not reserve posts. If you reserve a post I will delete your post.

5. Before submitting your entry please make sure to scan the thread to see if someone else has done something similar. Try to make your entry unique and if someone has already done something that you were wanting to do...then I highly suggest you pick something different. If you feel someone has "copied" your design, do not say anything to that person - especially in this thread.

6. You may only submit ONE official entry for each species on the list. If you wish to submit more then you can send me a PM with drawings of your trait idea. However all PMed entries that are sent to me will not count for prizes.

7. The end date is October 1st at 11:59PM server, after that the thread will be locked. I apologize that the time limit is quite short. Please just do your best if you choose to participate.


Prizes

All entries that are picked will have the trait created and will receive a Mystical Essence of the submitted species. Everyone that participates will also receive a participation prize.

Don't comment on someone's entry unless you have something nice to say. If someone copies your entry then have faith in us that we will determine the correct winner. Please do not fight over entries, if I see anyone doing this in the thread then whoever is fighting will be disqualified.

just a question Krin for it to be made into site art do you need transparency or can you work with it in any form?

I might add more later, but here is my speckles design for the nephini, I think it would go in G1?

You guys are essentially providing us with concept ideas.

Our artists will then take the concepts and create the actual in-game artwork.

So it doesn't matter - you can draw it however you want.

Closed eye optional, but I think it adds to it. Basically just armor/jewels/silk drapes, as well as turning the orbs into the shapes of moon phases (or giving them a kind of iridescence to provide the illusion of such). I wanted to go soooo much more complex with filigree but nothing I did looked uncluttered enough to not be garbage so, eh!

I like to think it mimics eyes, like some actual moths/butterflies!

Poodle Tail:

I would like to add in the M1 line "Meant Horny" (I hope you don't mind the names of himself, proposed), All drawn precisely and with the addition of this gene appear horns and dust with stars on them and legs and appear fanciful swirls on the animal. This is also a part from horns. Those coming from the horns curls too dust-covered and brightly lit.
Gave me an idea my love for demons and all sorts of monsters! I just love demon Vesaluoma and other hellish monsters! :)))

I based this off of a day of the dead skull





this one is based off of this dare or whatever that we used to talk about at my elementary school, it's called Bloody Mary and its when all the lights are turned off and you say bloody Mary three times in front of a mirror and it's supposed to summon a bloody girl in the mirror... Now I realized that we were kinda weird as kids.



I'm thinking that this will kinda look more like a jack o lantern pattern than it does already.

Aurleon
The Wild Turkey gene. Banding on the wings, a different banding on the tail, and even more on the chest. Low opacity rainbow on the chest to simulate natural iridescence. I arbitrarily chose the leg/beak color for the wing banding, but any color would do. The orange is the gene color.



Lunemara
Technically two traits, but there seems to be a pair of antennae for every wing type, so I thought it was appropriate. Presenting the Seraph Wings.



Zolnixi
Based on the weird neckwear of old nobles, Elegant Ruffles.

A mutation 1 design for Zolnixis: Star Dust/Pixie Dust/etc.

I think a good color for the trait would be the eye color because it affects how the eyes look, but that's just my opinion.
