I've been poking through the guides since I started and have found most of the answers to questions I've had but two things, so far, have eluded me:

What is Genetic Testing and what does it do?
I've seen it pop up enough to get the feeling that it's important but I can't find any explanation or guide on it.

How are offspring colors determined?
I came from Flight Rising where colors are determined by a wheel so it's easy to figure out what you're gonna get. Here, not so much. A little insight on this would be greatly appreciated before I start taking up projects.

Thank you!

What is Genetic Testing and what does it do?

it allow you to see cary and hiden gene for a pet, by exemple ;

as a non tested would have her genetic shown like this :

Gene One: Frosted
Gene Two: unnown
Gene Three: unnown
Mutation One: unnown
Mutation Two: unnown
Mutation Three: Corruption

but as a tested you can see all her trait

Gene One: Frosted
Gene Two: None
Gene Three: Hummingbird
Mutation One: Aparajita Tail
Mutation Two: None
Mutation Three: Corruption

italic gene are carry and you nead to go with the advenced shearch to look at ressessive (hiden) trait that will be in purple with different letters by example ( AC) instead of the usual (AA) for a visual trait

How are offspring colors determined?

By the color of their parent, the more the parents have close colors the less an offspring will have modified colors.
