Some of my themed egglings hatched that I bred from the same themed pets and realized that they weren't tagged. So does this mean that themed pets can't make themed babies? Or is there a way they're identified that i'm not seeing? Besides looking through their lineage.
Does this mean pure-bred themed pets don't show up in the advanced search?

Your conclusions are correct - purebred themed are untagged, do not show in advanced search as being of the relevant theme and the only way to verify that they're purebred is to look through the lineage.
Themed pets can make, what are considered purebred babies (as they have the same coloration etc), but these babies are worth less (subject to number of vis etc) than the parents due to their nature as a later generation.

Adding on to Wander, if you look at the lineage of a purebred pet(also called PB), if you go all the way back, there will be some pets with stars at the top.
If the pets at the very end all have stars, then the pet is PB.

Thank you very much for the speedy responses ^.^
This definitely adds another depth to themed pets for me now.
