Backstory: The two cats threw the small bundle of fur into the river. Yowls filled the air, a small splash soon heard. The cats had fled quickly. Soul clung to life and attempted to swim, getting pulled under the water every few seconds. A waterfall with jagged rocks at the bottom was ahead and Soul was growing tired with his failing efforts. A loud meow and splash came up ahead and he was grabbed by his scruff. As he was put on land he coughed up water. His fur stuck to his shaking body. A cat licked him dry, purring to him soothingly.
