The dog-shifters home is in the city. They live in an apartment building in human form (Ears and tail not out) and try to go undetected. Humans hate dog-shifters and want them dead. So if a dog-shifter is seen with their ears or tail out or switch to dog form when regular humans are watching they will be killed. As humans fear them and confuse them with werewolves. Some dog-shifters live in the forest which is common. Dog shifters have 2 forms. Human and dog, when in human form they can hide their tails & ears or they can show them. When in dog form they have the ability to stand on their hind legs.
Dog shifters will shift to human form if they are hurt badly (if in human form they will stay that way). Dog shifters have great hearing and smelling just like a dog/wolf/fox/cat.
When born as a dog their parents must show them how to shift to human form. In human form, they will have clothes that match what their fur looks like. If born human the parents have to show them how to shift to dog form.

Cat-shifters are just like dog-shifters, however, they aren't as common. Humans see cat shifters as loyal and perfect. They have a secret underground nightclub where the popular cat-shifters and gang members party.

Fox-shifters are rare, and are like the dog-shifters, except the Humans assume they are extinct. They also live entirely in the forest.

Coyote-shifters are rare, their hybrid offspring being more common, and are like dog-shifters as well. Presumed to be living in the darker parts of the forest.

Wolf shifters, a legendary race as they were hunted to near-extinction. Only four remain Tanya, Raven, Snipe, and Hawkeye's character.

Coywolf-shifters are the hybrid subspecies of the Coyote shifters and the "extinct" Wolf-shifters (excluding the four remaining Wolf-shifters). They all live in the grasslands and forest except for a few. Sunny is a City dwelling Coywolf-shifter.

He woke with a slight stretch, yawning a bit as he did. With a shake the dog jumped from the bed trotting down to the bathroom. After a quick shower the man dressed in a light blue sweater with the jeans to match. "All yours Bernie!" He called before heading to the kitchen. A handful of cereal satisfied his hungry as he headed outside into the morning air.

Oh.. yep..! He said, setting the phone down. Youre up and at it quick.

Amira bounded through the forest in her Fox form, loving the feeling of freedom and letting the stress of her human side fade away. Being human was such a bother, foxes, foxes were great though, they didnt have to work, they could kill things and eat it.

Jace walked into his apartment, going straight into his room and locking the door. He looked at the large mirror, making sure the coast was clear before shifting into a Coywolf, liking to think of himself as almost a werewolf, the great, mighty, feared, and legendary

"No 'hello'?" Kailani called from the living room to her roommate as he entered his room. "Geez, okay Jace. I see how it is," she joked, peeking through one of her eyes, the other closed. The dark haired girl meditated on the carpet.

Shifting back, Jace poked his head out the door. My bad, didnt realize you were home, plus, work was rough, we almost had to call the cops on this one psycho dude who tried to jump the counter when I told him we didnt carry a certain brand anymore Jace explained

"Ouch. You alright?" Kai asked, tilting her head and standing. She walked over to the kitchen counter and got a glass of water before heading towards her room. "At least he didn't attack because of your... status." She winked.

Yeah... I guess youre right about that... but Im fine, the dude was waaaayyy to large to get anywhere near me, I just kind of took a step back and security came in a minute or two, it was a beached whale sort of scenario Jace said. But seriously, the dude could make Santa Claus look like a vegan yoga instructor Jace said with a laugh
