Pureblood

Rules the entire mermaid species and is regarded as the most powerful politically and physically. They are fairly uncommon, and live in rich empires together as a species

Terrian

Often looked down upon by other species due to the fact they can shift into a human form. Some will live on shore permanently due to the discrimination, they are regarded as the lowest class. Their towns will often be near islands or land, and consist usually of pure terrians.

Deepsea

Very reclusive, they live near the deepest seafloors and can withstand any/large amounts of pressure. They don't live in villages, but have a loose community with a ruling queen. Sometimes they will live and travel in duos or trios.

Squid

In constant seeking of knowledge, most are scholars. They live in large, widespread, middle class communities, with large libraries available to all

Sharks

Savages who are usually in constant battle, they live in smaller communities, with their queen having an army military village. Most travel in groups of between 2-5, but the size varies. They have very sharp teeth.

Oceanic

By far the most rare and elusive, most are unsure if they even have a real kingdom. They live almost exclusively alone and have minor control over tides and currents.
