Mahawa Tribe
Pronounced Ma-ha-wah

This tribe resides in the rainforest, they are excellent healers and know almost all about plants. They are also very muscular having to deal with many large cats and other wild beasts in the rainforest. They are the strong silent type and do not like outsiders. They prefer to keep to themselves and do not stray from the rainforest. They also prefer to go out at night as it's not as humid and there is no droning of insects. Their village is in the trees. so they are also excellent climbers.

Positions

Leader
There is one group, they make all the decisions in the group and are the first to rush into battle. They can be challenged and the winner becomes the new leader. these fights are to the death and a normal part of life. The leader is also the one who helps oversee all training except for healer training. The leader cannot be a man.

Healer
There are always two healers, although all tribe members know basic healing the healers deal with the serious illnesses and are the ones with the most knowledge. When one healer dies the remaining healer must choose an apprentice. healers cannot be challenged or challenge the leader. They are impartial and will help anyone in the tribe that needs it no matter what feuds occur. The healer on VERY rare occasions is a male but is almost always female. Healers cannot have children because if someone needs help and they are taking care of their child it would hinder their ability to arrive on time to help.

Gatherers
These are all the males of the tribe. They are the ones who go out to gather plants for the healer and get any resources that the tribe needs. They do not hunt or fight but instead tend to the tribes home while the warriors are away. They also take care of the children after they are 1 year old.

Warriors
These are the females of the tribe who aren't Healer or Leader. They hunt and feed the tribe, and follow the leader into battle. If one becomes pregnant she retires for 10 months to give birth to the child and raise it for 1 year then once more returns to warrior status. They can of course still interact and play with their child.

Children
You only count as a child until you are seven years old. Up until that time you stay in the village and are taken care of there where you learn basic herbs and how to make weapons and such. Once a child reaches 7 years old they begin to help out around the tribe. If it's a male their father will start to take them out and show them the ropes. if it's a female the mother (or any warrior that's available) will take the child out on hunts, help train them, and show them the ropes of warrior life. Occasionally when a child reaches 7 they are chosen by the healer and trained by the healer alone.

Derian Tribe
Pronounced Deh-Ree-an

This tribe lives in the desert. They are hardened warrior but good-hearted as they know how hard life can be living in a dessert. They are the most welcoming of all the tribes as well as the youngest. They live near an oasis and have a good tunnel system running under the desert to get around during the day as it's very dangerous in the sun. They use the shells and bones of desert animals and sometimes cacti as clothing

Positions

Prophet
They read the signs of water, rock, and leaf to divine what should happen next. In important times and whether the tribe should go to war the prophet reads the signs for answers. they are also the healer of the tribe. They are chosen by the previous prophet as they die.

Tunnelers
These tribe members work hard to burrow under the desert and maintain it. They know every tunnel and how to get around. They do not hunt or travel much over land as maintaining the tunnel is a lot of work.

Deserters
During the night they go out and scavenge for bones and any animals they can use as either food or weaponry.

Children
As early as 5 they are given to the prophet who checks with the spirits whether they are Tunnelers or Deserters, when they reach 7 they're training begins. Up until then, they are watched over by their parents who take a break from their duties.

Lin'quin Tribe
Pronounced Lin-Que-n

This tribe resides in a network of underwater caves. The entrance to the network of caves is through the sea. You must swim down before the tides come in and find the cave entrance. They are excellent swimmers and fishers. They don't deal much with medicine but know a few tricks to use with the wildlife and sea plants around them.

Positions

Leader Council
The council consists of three members who decide what the tribe does at uncertain times. They all decide together on what is to be done. Each leader is chosen by the people's vote. However, once a leader is chosen they cannot be challenged from their spot on the council.

Landers
These tribe members go to land every day and come back with valuable spices, seasonings, furs and other items. It is a dangerous job for if you miss time and the tide comes in you are stuck out for the night.

Fishers
They go out to hunt for the tribe and do most of the fishing and catching of food. As everyone in the tribe is trained to fight you are no more than the food source.

Children
They start learning to swim as soon as they can walk. Although an adult always has to be there to help they start in the shallow pools and normally at the age of 7 or 6 they can start adventuring out and learn to fish. By age 9 they are either fishers or landers. Until they start adventuring parents supervise.
