My pets fail missions a lot despite being at or way above the appropriate level (my level 30 just failed a level 10 blue quest) so I'm wondering... does armor affect the chance of completing a quest? Spending level up points? Being a higher level? Is it just plain luck? Or is it affected by something I haven't mentioned here? I want to put my pets on the missions in Saerielle but it feels like such a waste of time if they fail.

@Yuki,
Every mission has a stat requirement. They will show the recommended stat (Health, Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity, or Agility).
Your pet's stat is what determines if your pet succeeds or fails. So if a mission requires Health, you want to have a pet with high Health attempt it.
The Level is basically just the required level to accept the mission.
The difficulty is the gauge for what type of gear your pet should have. So... when put all together:
A level 10 blue mission that recommends Health should have a pet attempt it that is at or above Level 10, in at least blue Level 10 gear, and has a decent amount of its Level Ups and/or Proficiency Points spent into Health.
Let me know if you still have questions about this.
