I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use an elixir during battle. I read the newbie faq that says to click on the potion icon, but where?? When i do it in my inventory it just says you can't use your inventory in battle. And it doesn't show up in my "battle inventory" like the traps do. I have made sure it's an elixir and not a potion. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

There are two different item menus in the battle layout, one for items you use on the enemies and one for items you use on your own pets.

The bag icon is the one for enemy items
The little arrow button is the team management button. When you click on it you are able to both arrange your pet order as well as use items (click the use item button).

Thank you! I always thought the arrow meant try to run away, or some such thing. It's not a very intuitive icon...

Thankfully they fix that in the revamp.
