I dont know if its because I bred (even though the pet I didnt breed also has the problem) or left for a while, but it wont let me attack with my pets in battle. I tried finding out but Im beat. They have full health.

(Edit) I should probably mention more details: Theres an X in front of their names in battle, and neither are my starter (who also couldnt fight, but I assumed that was because of the breeding). They both have 1 mana and one isnt elementary aligned yet but still has an attack... Im really confused. If anyone can help me itd be very appreciated.

(Edit2) The only thing it lets me do is Skip Turn, I cant use any items (on the enemy, I dont have any items to use on my pets so I wouldnt know)

Are you selecting the attack and then clicking on an enemy?

The "X" is normal, it means that no action has been commanded. When you click on an enemy after picking a command (Unless it is an action that only affects your pet. In that case, you don't need to pick a target) the "X" will change to a green circle with a check mark in it.

From then, repeat these steps (If you have any other pets in your party) and then end your turn.
