I'm a LITTLE confused.
So...what happened here? The mother has Zebra (FF), a rare trait, and the father has Skeletal (CC), a rare trait, somehow this baby wound up with Jurassic (EF)? The Skeletal didn't even come into play, by the looks of it Zebra and Jurassic...mixed??? To make an EF Epic trait??? I'm sorry, I don't know how traits work, but I gotta say that's pretty cool.

The same thing happened to me quite often when I first started breeding my pets (about half a dozen times or so, I think, maybe more, and with different species.). What likely occurred is one or both of the parents had the Jurassic trait as a hidden trait, and it showed up in the offspring from the first(?) breeding of those two pets. If you didnt genetically test either parent beforehand, each ones visible trait only shows up on its profile as blue, rather than purple (That indicates theres a hidden trait under the dominant one.).
Another possibility is that trait was a carried trait (indicated by the color green) for both parents. Those also dont show up on the pet in questions profile unless it is either one you bought & whose previous owner genetically tested it (or, if they created it & made the trait in question a carried one) when they originally got it, or if you yourself (1) created it & made the trait in question a carried one, or (2) caught it then genetically tested it.

The father isn't tested, so he most likely has a hidden: CE. Dad passed on E, mom passed on F. E is dominant to F, so the baby gets EF with Jurassic vis, Zebra hidden.
Also, I'm assuming you're referring to the purple color when you say "epic trait"...? If so, the purple here doesn't mean epic - it means there's a hidden.
-Blue means the pet only has one trait in that slot: EE, FF, AA, etc.
-Purple means there are two different traits, either of which could be passed down: EF, AC, DL, etc.

A couple things to clarify from Earthprotector's post.
-The mother cannot have Jurassic hidden. She has F, which would be recessive to Jurassic's E. Since she's untested, she could have a different hidden, though.
-Carries (green) can result in a vis with or without a hidden, yes. However, these parents both have vis traits in G1, so there are no carries in this case.
